When you first start playingDisney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, you might not think that your choices will greatly impact the overall game. However, you’ll be proven wrong if that’s the case since the game throws quite a few options at you every step of the way, and some of these choices can have varying outcomes.
The first choice you’ll get is when you get your paint and thinner and reach the next area where you’ll see a giant catapult in the middle. After opening this catapult, you’ll get to choose between saving a Gremlin or getting a juicy chest.
Should You Pick The Gremlin Or The Chest?
When you first enter this area, your main objective will be to climb the two paths leading high up and use your spin attack on the gear to open up the way. However, as a side mission, you’ll see a mechanism in the middle that you canactivate by standing on the pressure plate nearbyfor a few seconds.
This will bring down another gear that you can use your spin attack on. When that is done, the catapult will open to reveal atrapped Gremlin on its head while there will also be a big chest inside. If you attempt to open the chest, Gus will give you a warning that the Gremlin will get launched with the catapult and you won’t be able to save it.
If you’re on your first playthrough, it’s recommended tosimply free the Gremlin since that’ll help you morein the long run.
Depending on what you choose here, you’ll get the following outcomes:
Gremlin
The Gremlin will break the catapult, which will cage up the chest again and you won’t be able to get it. However, it willalso give you a Gold pinthat you can exclusively get for making this choice.
Chest
When you open the chest, you’ll instantly get 200 E-Tickets as the Gremlin gets launched. After the cutscene, Gus won’t be happy with you but you’ll get aconcept art called “The Trebuchet”, which is exclusive to this choice.
While the outcomes of this choice aren’t highly impactful, there is achance that your ending gets changedbased on the further choices you make with the caged Gremlins.
