The first big SBC has arrived inEA Sports FC 25-Player Of The Month Erling Haaland, already available for those who have early access to the game. It’s a great card, but it comes with a big price tag, though you’ll have 30 days to complete it.
The upgrades are very minimal, but this is the sort of card that we can see being very popular over the first couple of months of the game. Should you invest your time and money, or is it worth waiting for something else? Let’s dive in.
Card Overview
Haaland is a 92-rated striker from the Premier League, and the POTM version comes with some small upgrades on the base card.
How Much Does It Cost?
The card comes in at around roughly500k coinsif you were to buy every player for the SBCs. You need multiple 84-rated squads, as well as some tough-to-complete 87-rated squads.
There are eightdifferent SBCs across two separate completion tabs.Completing all four from each tab will give you an untradeable Rare Mega Pack - this might not seem like it makes up for the cost of this card, but you never know what you might pull.
Is POTM Haaland Worth It?
There’s no doubt this card is going to be an absolute menace in the upcoming FUT Champions weekend. Although the upgrades are slim on the base card, this SBC will grant you an untradeable card whichfrees up your other coins to be liquid or invested in other parts of your team.
In terms of the meta, we’ve seen discussions in the community already about how defensive this year’s game is.Physically-imposing and tall playerswill likely provide a way to unlock tight defenses, especially from set pieces.
How To Complete The Haaland SBC Cheaply
There are a bunch of methods to get fodder (cards that can be used for SBCs) cheaply during the first few weeks of a new FC release.
The number one method is to just play the game and collect your rewards from Squad Battles and Rivals, but you’re able to also work towards some objectives -assists, goals, and so on, are all rewarded with big packs if you’re able to steam through them. These can be completed in any game mode.
That being said, this is the sort of card that is going to completely run your club dry. Everything you earn will have to be invested back into the hat-trick maestro.
