While some quests are short, easy, and straightforward, others will require a bit more exploration, and these typically offer greater rewards.

While exploring the Pirates of the Wasteland region, Mickey will come across an odd machine known as Hook’s Machine, which turns pirates into monsters. He needs to take action regarding this machine and the choice you make will affect the outcome of the quest.

How To Start The Hook’s Machine Quest

The Hook’s Machine questbeginsas soon as you arrive at Skull Island.

Once you reach this location as part of the main story, you will seea machine inside the skull cavethat transforms all the pirates into enemies.

Mickey will need tolocate four pumpsandinteract with them using either Paint or Thinnerto determine the outcome of the quest.

The first pump is located justto the right of the entrance to Hook’s Machine.

The second pump is locatedjustto the left of the entrance to Hook’s Machine.

Both the third and fourth pumpsare located at the eyes of the Skull at the top, which can be accessed byclimbing up the rocks to the left of the entranceto Hook’s Machine.

How To Complete The Hook’s Machine Quest

As mentioned earlier, like many other quests in the game, there are two outcomes for this quest, depending on which substance you choose to use.

If you fill all the pumps with Paint, the machine willtransform the monsters back into pirates, and the quest will be completed.

If you choose to fill the pumps with Thinner, it willdestroy the machine, but those enemies already converted will not be restored.

​​​​​​​However, at least the machine won’t create any more of them, andthis will still complete the quest, so don’t worry.
