Summary
Xboxhas a deal with Mattel that has seen some of its properties turned into Mega sets, but very sparingly. Until very recently,Haloappeared to be the only Xbox-owned IP Mattel deemed worthy of giving its own sets. Its Xbox range began to expand viaa Mega 360 set last year, then the first twoFalloutsets following the success of its Amazon adaptation, and nowSkyrimhas made its Mega debut.
When it comes to ideas for the first Skyrim Mega set, fans would have likely thought locations. A toy brick recreation of Riverwood would be a fantastic display piece for any Skyrim fan. While that might be a possibility in the future, Mattel is wise to kick things off with a smaller set to keep the price down and test the Mega Skyrim waters. With all that said, the hit game’s first Mega set is modeled after Alduin, Skyrim’s world-eating dragon.
While the Alduin set might not be quite as big as one replicating the entirety of Riverwood would have been, it’s still a pretty big Mega debut for Skyrim. I mean, Alduin is a world-eating dragon after all. The set is 619 pieces and once Alduin is complete, his wingspan is an impressive 25 inches. Alduin has a stand on which to perch so that the Mega dragon can look like it’s really hovering above the ground, and it comes with a Dragonborn micro figure, sword brandished and ready for the fight of their life.
Alduin The World Eater Has The Honor Of Being Skyrim’s First Mega Set
Fingers Crossed Its Whole World Will Slowly Be Turned Into Toy Bricks
Mega’s Skyrim set was released on Amazon late last week for $49.99 and has clearly been a hit as it sold out almost immediately. That doesn’t mean you can’t guarantee you’ll get your hands on one soon, though. Even though the Alduin set is temporarily out of stock, you can still place an order to guarantee you get one whenever it is next restocked. There doesn’t appear to be a release date on the listing so it’s unclear when they’ll ship if you do manage to get one.
Skyrim Alduin The World Eater MEGA Set
Skyrim’s first Mega set is a toy brick recreation of the dragon, Alduin the World Eater. The villainous beast’s set is made up of 619 pieces and its wingspan is 25 inches. There’s also a Dragonborn figure with the set for Alduin to dispatch of relatively easily, or to be slain by depending on the story you’re trying to tell.
Skyrim’s Alduin set was revealed and added to Amazon at the same time asFallout’s Red Rocket set was restocked. The second of two Fallout sets released this year, the Red Rocket truck stop will start shipping on November 10, hence it getting restocked a few days ago. Similar to the Skyrim set, the Red Rocket stop’s second batch sold out just as quickly as the first but can be back ordered ready for when more sets become available.
