Summary
TheDreamcast,Sega’s final console, turned 25 this year, andLimited Run released new merch dedicated to the Dreamcastto celebrate. Limited Run hinted at the time that it wasn’t done, and the first follow-up to its Dreamcast merch reveal is now here. An entire range of newSonic Adventuremerch, one of the Dreamcast’s most beloved games, and it’s all available to peruse and pre-order right now.
There’s a lot of it too. 14 items to choose from, so even more than the Dreamcast collection, although technically even more than that since one of those items is a skate deck that’s available in seven different designs. Priced at $74.99, the colorful Sonic Adventure skate deck options include Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and there’s even a Big the Cat design.
If you want to celebrate Big’s first appearance in a Sonic game but have no desire to buy a skate deck, much less spend $75 on one, there’s alsoa rather fetching Big the Cat fishing hatincluded in this new collection for $28.99.
The biggest tell that Limited Run planned to follow up on its Dreamcast collection was the inclusion of a trading card game. Although Sonic Adventure was represented in that initial drop, the Sonic Adventure-themed booster packs presumably include cards that you won’t find in the Dreamcast packs. There are alsosome Sonic Adventure-themed trading card accessoriesavailable now including card sleeves, a binder, and a storage box.
Sonic Adventure Stuff Is Available Now At Limited Run
Sonic Adventure trading cards and skate decks are great, but let’s be real. Most Sonic fans will come to this collection to buy something to wear. A hoodie or a t-shirt to remind people they should still be playing Sonic Adventure at all times. Limited Run has all that too. There aretwo t-shirt designs,a grey hoodie, anda matching grey hatwith a blue brim.
Sonic Adventure Jewel Case Trading Card Pack
Limited Run’s Sonic Adventure trading cards come in a jewel case designed to look like the original Dreamcast game. An expansion on the Dreamcast trading cards already released, this pack includes an exclusive Sonic Adventure title screen card.
Sonic Adventure Skate Deck
Joining the Dreamcast deck in Limited Run’s retro Sega skating collection is not one, but seven Sonic Adventure skate decks. Sonic, Big the Cat, Amy, and more characters from the well-loved Dreamcast Sonic game are all represented via these decks, all of which are sold separately.
Rounding out the collection isa poster sporting the Sonic Adventure cover art,a coin similar to the Dreamcast one,an enamel pin, and what might be my favorite item in the entire collection,a keychain made to look like a Sonic Adventure Dreamcast game case. Even though everything in the collection is available now, it isn’t expected to ship until April 2025. A few months to wait until you can take your love for Adventure to the next level, but you won’t want to hold off on placing a pre-order. Everything in the OG Dreamcast drop has already sold out.
