Summary
2024 has been the Year Of Shadow, and the best is yet to come. With only a little more than a week to go until the release ofSonic x Shadow Generations, fans of the brooding red and black hedgehog have yet another reason to celebrate. Walmart has stock of Shadow’s new collector’s edition action figure, and it’s available now.
The deluxe action figure was one of many merch reveals during September’s Sonic Central, sharing a screen withthe new Sonic Lego sets coming our way in 2025. Its release is a part of Walmart Collector Con, a two-day event during which Walmart is given the chance to get the jump on its rival retailers by selling brand new figures, toys, and collectibles before anyone else. Right now, Walmart is the only place Shadow’s new figure can be purchased.
Even though the name of the game doesn’t seem to have been included on the packaging, the action figure’s design appears to be based on the Shadow from Sonic x Shadow Generations. Even Shadow’s new wings, granted to him via his Doom Powers, are included as accessories, and in-game artwork of Shadow wearing the wings those who have seen the trailers will be familiar with can be seen on the inside of the box.

As well as wings, the figure also includes different hands so you can switch up Shadow’s pose. Its 24 points of articulation help with that too, as does the rocky plinth for Shadow to triumphantly stand on that comes with the figure. There’s been no hint of how many of these figures there are to go around, but the collector’s edition label suggests there aren’t many and it will likely sell out fast.
