This update will add a new level inspired by the movie. This level will let us play as a new version of Shadow, as he’s set to appear in Sonic 3 - complete with Keanu Reeves' voice acting.
Sonic X Shadow Generations DLC Adds Keanu Reeves' Shadow
This was just unveiled at the PlayStation State of Play, giving us a quick preview of the movie pack in action. There wasn’t much to see, but it did give us a preview of Reeves' voice in the game, sounding just as he does in the trailer for the upcoming movie.
Sega later explained that the pack will include one new level, which is what we see in the trailer. So, while we won’t be spending much time with the movie version of Shadow, we’ll at least get to hear Reeves' voice some more while we blast through this stage.
The teaser also gives us a release date for the Sonic X Shadow Generations movie pack DLC, revealing that it will be with us on December 12. This is shortly before the film opens in cinemas on December 20. The pack will be available in the Digital Deluxe edition of Sonic X Shadow Generations, although it’s not known how much the pack will set you back if you buy it separately.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to launch on October 25. It comes as part of the Year of Shadow, which has seen Sega put the fan-favourite anti-hero back at the forefront of the series after years out of the spotlight.
