Summary

Sonic X Shadow Generationsisn’t officially out until next Friday (not counting early access) but late-game spoilers from Shadow’s campaign have already started popping up.

It’s been a very long time since Shadow the Hedgehog starred in his own game, but that’s all about tochange in a number of days thanks to Sonic X Shadow Generations. Although it initially seemed like a small add-on to go alongside the long-requested Generations remaster, it’s become clearthe more we’ve learned about Shadow’s story that it’s a much bigger deal than we all expected.

With that in mind, if you’re as excited about Shadow’s return as most Sonic fans are and want to keep all of the surprises of his new story a secret, then it might be time to be extra careful when surfing the net. As is typical for most games nowadays, some people have managed to get their hands on Sonic X Shadow Generations early and are sharing spoilers all over social media.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Spoilers Are Already Popping Up

As pointed out by Twitter user TheMrPasqualeand several other angry Sonic fans, select YouTubers have seemingly gotten a hold of Sonic X Shadow Generations much earlier than intended and have started sharing some key scenes from Shadow’s campaign on YouTube and other social media channels.

Although the leaks appear to originate from YouTube, it’s just a matter of time until they spread through Twitter and TikTok. I’ve already seen some key scenes being shared on both.

We won’t be sharing the spoilers here, but I can confirm that what appears to be some of the most important scenes from Shadow’s campaign are included in the leaks. It’s not clear how some fans have managed to get access to the game already, but one tweet from ModernSonicMUSC claims that a Switch ROM of the gamehas appeared online, which might be how some are sharing spoilers so early.

Although Sonic X Shadow Generations doesn’t officially launch until this coming Friday, it does have an early access release in just a few days, which means that spoilers and reactions are bound to start showing up early next week. Even then, whether you’re playing Sonic X Shadow Generations on its early access launch or waiting until later in the week, it’s worth staying off social media to avoid being heavily spoiled.
