Summary

Once upon a time, Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot were two of PlayStation’s main mascots, as their games were exclusively on Sony platforms. However, times change. These days, purple Dragons and Bandicoots wearing jeans are now welcome onXboxconsoles, mainly through the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Both of these collections are on sale right now at the Microsoft Store. So, you get them by going to the official site or by using the store on your Xbox. Spyro’s Reignited Trilogy is down to $14, while Crash’s N. Sane Trilogy is currently $16. So, Spyro is down 65 percent, and Crash is discounted by 60 percent. Alternatively, you can get both trilogies together for $30 right now.

Now, you can probably guess that there are three games in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, as it has a ‘trilogy’ in its name. All three of them are remakes of the original three games in the series. None of them are complete re-imaginings of those classic platforming collect-a-thons. Instead, they’re more technical upgrades that have far better graphics and feel a bit smoother to play. The lack of changes is offset by the fact you get three games in one collection.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

WHERE TO PLAY

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a collection of remakes of the first three Spyro games. They boast updated visuals and some quality-of-life improvements. Each one is a platformer where you play as a purple dragon.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy contains remastered versions of the first three Crash Bandicoot games. In all of them, you play as a Bandicoot wearing blue pants that jumps and spins his way across the level.

Like the Spyro collection, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy contains new versions of the first three games of the series: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. All of the platformers provide essentially the same experience as the originals but with shiny new visuals. They are also a bit more difficult, as many people noted when the trilogy was released.
