‘What Happened at San Romero High?’ is the first main stage inLollipop Chainsaw RePOP. After reuniting with Nick in school, you will need to fight your way through the hordes of zombies in search of your sensei, who you hope has some answers to everything that has been happening. The stage will help you familiarize yourself with different mechanics that you will need to rely on during your playthrough.

There are a bunch of SOS Students to save and a few Golden Lollipop Wrappers to collect as well, all of which we have covered in this walkthrough.

How To Start The What Happened At San Romero High? Quest

After regaining Juliet’s control, defeat a few zombies in the room beforeheading out the door on the left. From the blocked hallway, enter the classroom on the left, where you will meet Mr. Fitzgibbon alongside a small horde of zombies. Once you have dealt with the zombies,Mr.Fitzgibbon would call in the reinforcementsbefore jumping out of the window.

A little ahead, you willsee an SOS Student near the end of the hallway. We recommend ignoring everything else and rushing to help the student in distress.

If you somehowfail to save the SOS Student,he will be transformed into a special zombie.

Also, be sure to grab theGolden Lollipop from the end of the hallway.

Once you have saved (or did not) the SOS Student, enter the classrooms on the right to deal with more zombies. Thesecond room you enter will have Mr.Fitzgibbon leap infrom a nearby window. He willgrab a large podium to use as a shield, which makes it a little tricky to attack him head-on. Your best bet here is to either flank him or use low-attacks.

At this point, a zombie with explosives strapped around it will blow up the entire hallway. Return to the hallway, and jump out the broken window to seetwo police officers fending against some zombies. However, if you try to help them, you will find your way blocked by a crashed bus.

To progress forward, go to the other end of the hallway for a QTE, where you will find a headless zombie. You will need toattach Nick’s head onto the headless zombie, and then control him using on-screen prompts until he successfully clears the path forward. A few steps ahead, you willfind a Nick Ticketanda Chop2Shop.zomterminal.

This is where you will learn touse the Nick Ticket to play Nick Roulette, which will let youuse Nick’s powers in combat.

You will see another SOS Student in the distance. Once again, run to him before he is bitten. Continue to progress forward tomeet one of the police officers turned into a zombie. He will also have a handgun, so be sure to deal with him as soon as possible. We highlyrecommend usingyourStar Soultoinsta-kill him.

A little ahead, you will learn how to deal with theBomber Zombies—attack them and run away before they explode. From there, you will see a bus speeding toward you. You must look at the pillar on the left side to initiate a QTE, which will stop it in its tracks.

Next, you will need to saveanother SOS Student hanging from a ledge. Once you have done that, climb up the bus to reach the upper floor. After being stranded by two students, enter the nearby room, where you will see more SOS Students. You need to make sure that no Fire Zombies are able to come close to the SOS Students, or they will instantly die.

As soon as yousee a dancing pole appear in the centerof the room,wait for the nearby zombies to gather, andinitiate a QTE to defeat all of them— using the pole is not necessary, but it is a lot quicker.

Continue through the nearby door to see one of the students you saw earlier explode into smithereens. The other student (this one is an SOS) is in the side-room. To save him, simply lure the Bomber Zombie away from him toward the far side of the room.

You must lure the Bomber Zombie fairly quicklyif you wish to save the SOS Student.

Proceed through the green door to initiateanother QTE,which willteach you the Zombie Walk. Once you are down, defeat the zombies, and head inside the newly opened doorway. Continue to follow the hallways until you reach a large door, whereyou will be introduced to Zombie Basketball.There is alsoa Golden Lollipop Wrapper in the room, so be sure to grab it.

How To Play Zombie Basketball

Immediately after entering the basketball court, you will be surrounded by zombies — the more zombies you kill, the more points you get. Also, do note thatdecapitationswillnet you three points. As the game progresses, Basketball Zombies and Cheerleader Zombies (on Hard) will continue to appear. The game will concludeonce you reach 101 points.

Also, note that theBasketball Zombie will try to defend, so make sure todeal with it before anything else.

After winning the game, proceed through the door where you will see the Cartwheel Bomber for the first time. You will have a few seconds to escape the room before the explosion. A little ahead, you will come across another Chop2Shop.zom station.

Keep on following the hallways while dealing with zombies until you are able to enter a classroom on the left. In there, you will need to deal with some Fire Zombies, Student Zombies, andan Album Zombie named Roberta—who only appears on Hard.

After clearing the area,a Headless Zombie will jump in. Once again,attach Nick’s head onto itandplay a small QTE to clear the blockade. Once you have done that, a couple of Fire Zombies will barge into the room — one of them being Stephanie, an Album Zombie. Since both of them are equipped with firearms, it can be a little hard to deal with them. We recommend using a Nick Ticket to make quick work of them.

Before leaving the area, be sure tograb the Golden Lollipop from the classroom.

Once you reach the lockers, you will need to deal with a lot of zombies in the area. If you are left with some Nick Tickets, now is the time to use them. If you do not have any, you will have to rely on combos. After dealing with the zombies, the Hazmat Zombie will show up. He will be holding a tanker, so you will have to use Leapfrog to deal any damage.

We do not recommend using the Star Soul Power here if possible.

Meet Sensei Morikawa

You will need tohead up the stairspast a Chop2Shop.zom terminal tomeet with Sensei Morikawa. He will explain everything that has been going around. Once the cutscene ends, you willfind yourself next to an exploding cake, with Fire Zombies pouring in from all directions. It is important that youdo not let the Fire Zombies touch the cake. This is the moment we asked you to save your Star Soul Power. If you still do not have it,try using the Dropkickto prevent the Fire Zombies from reaching the cake.

Once you have successfully defended the cake, you will have a few seconds to leave the area before the bomber detonates it. After a cutscene,you will meet the first boss,Zed.

How To Defeat Zed

In order to reach Zed, you will need tocomplete a series of QTEs. None of them are terribly difficult, and you will simply need to press the buttons as they appear on the screen. Eventually, you will reach the main stage for a confrontation with Zed.

Similar to any other zombie, you will need to begin by slashing at Zed. However, you will soon realize that it barely does anything at all. Keep on doing damage, and he willspawn speakers all around the stage. You mustdestroy the speakers(especially the ones Zed is standing on)to progress the fight.

Once you have destroyed a few speakers,they will be replaced by a massive speakerin the center. You will need to do a small QTE to destroy this speaker, which will weaken him even more.

After the QTE, he willsummon large,red letters all around himwhichwill fly toward you. Make sure that you do not get hit by them, as they deal a significant amount of damage. Whiledodging the onslaught of letters,push toward Zed for a final blow.
