Sometimes well-laid plans don’t always go the way that they should, and inStar Wars Outlaws, Murphy’s Law abounds. Whatever could go wrong to throw a wrinkle in the mission, will go wrong, making it that much more difficult for Kay to get what she needs: Freedom.
Which brings us to the Legacy main story quest. Just as Kay and crew are about to go looking for new teammates to join their heist, something is wrong with ND-5, and they need to detour to see if they can get this ancient BX-series commando droid fixed. This quest is also where you will get the fusion cutter, which allows you to cut through metal gates.
Legacy Quest Walkthrough: Find Temmin’s Droid Clone Factory
ND-5’s command regulator has gone bad, and the only way to get it is foryou, Gedeek, and ND to go inside an old decrepit clone factoryfrom the Clone Wars. If you’re not already on Akiva, hop on your ship andfly there to meet with Temmin, the Scavenger expert.
Temmin’s apartment is located onArtisan’s Row, on the eastern side of Myrra,just outside of the Pyke District.
After a brief altercation with a Zerek Besh agent hunting Kay’s Death Mark,follow Temmin down the stairs, then wait for him to open thedoor to the catacombs on your left.
Follow the tunnel down and when you come to the green room,there are two openings. Take the right tunnel and you’ll enter a room with ankle-deep water.
If you go into the tunnel on the leftyou’ll find some resources to loot, then head back into the water room.
Gedeek will point out a power conduitthat runs to the factory. Start following the conduit and you’ll encounter a hostile Venga. Just hit it with afew shots from your blaster and continue forward.
You’ll soon come across agray wall with cracks and orange markings.Use the power module on your blaster to blow a holethrough the wall.Inside are two more hostile Venga, as well as some resources you can loot.
Leave the cave and continue through the catacombs,following the power conduit. Around the corner is yet another Venga and breakable wall.Kill the Venga and blast through the wall to continue.
Legacy Quest Walkthrough: How To Get The Fusion Cutter And Break Into The Droid Factory
You’re out of the catacombs finally, but now youstill have to break into the factory.
Find A Way Into The Factory
When you walk through the hole you made in the wall, first explore the room a bit to collect some resources, butthen head back to where ND and Gedeek are standing.
Squeeze through the gap in the wall. To your right,next to some pipes along the wall, is a metal grate for you to climb up to the next platform.
Walk to the end of the platform anddeploy the ladder for ND-5 and Gedeek, then turn back towards the door. The control panel for the door is jammed, butGedeek whips out his fusion cutterand cuts a hole in the fence for you to slip through.
Inside are a few resources to collect, then send Nix tohold open the shutter on the wall next to the door. While he’s holding it,shoot the switch with your ion blasterto open the door to allow ND and Gedeek through.
Fix The Lift
When Gedeek tries to use the lift console, it shorts out, sonow you have to find a way to get the lift working. Gedeek comes to the rescue again with his fusion cutter andopens a hole in the fence on the right.
Crouch through the fence, then turn left andjump across the gap to the next platform. Use your grappling hook to latch onto the edge of the platform and lower yourself to the next floor where you’ll find some loose resources,then use your grappling hook to go descend one more level.
From here, continue through the series of platforms till you reach the final grapple point and descend to the bottom floor.
Thedoor to the factorywill be in front of you. To your right,you’ll find the terminal to turn on the turbolift.
While you wait for Gedeek and ND to arrive,you’ll be attacked by several Vengafrom two holes in the wall on either side of the room. Just keep shooting them with your blaster andstay away from their green acid projectiles.
Once the Venga are all dead, Gedeek and ND-5 will emerge from the turbolift,fashionably late as usual.
After a few seconds,the door in front of you will open, allowing the three of you to continue your journey.
Open Factory Door
Once you enter, ND bugs out andaccidentally shoots the control panel for the next door, causing it to short out and the door to close. While Gedeek tends to him,he gives you his fusion cutter so you can go find a way to get the door open.
When the cut scene ends, you’ll be facing the direction you need to go.Jump up onto the platformin front of you andopen the door on your right.
Walk up to the steel gate andpress the prompt to use the fusion cutterto cut through it. On the floor below you’re able to scavenge for some resources beforejumping down through the hole in the floor.
Straight ahead isanother fence you can cut throughwith the fusion cutter, thenclimb up into the next room.
To your right, on the other side of the window with pipes,is the door you need to open. Send Nix to hit the switch that will open the door,then use your data spike to unlock the door to your left.
Once you get the door open, rejoin ND-5 and Gedeek in the previous room, thenthe three of you can proceedto the factory’s main gate.
Legacy Quest Walkthrough: Explore The Droid Factory
Now that you’ve found the factory’s main gate,you need to find a way to open itso you can get inside and search for the part to help ND-5.
Open Main Gate
Approach the large gate, then turn around. Look down to your right andyou’ll see rows of yellow metal grates. Jump down and use the metal grates and handlesto climb down to the next platform.
In front of you is a spinning fanwith a shutter behind it. Send Nix to hold the shutter open andshoot the switch with your blaster to stop the blades. Then jump across and crouch under the blades.
Immediately turn left andclimb up into the vent. The vent will exit into the control room for the gate. Approach the computer and slice it to open the main gate.
Do a bit of scavenging around the room for resources. When you’re ready to leave and join the others,the control panel for the door will short out.Luckily, Gedeek has your back and opens the door for you.Follow him and ND through the gate into the factory.
From here, take a left and follow the walkway to a door thatyou’ll have to open with your data spike.
Once inside,ND-5 will begin shutting down. Gedeek needs to get him to a stable power source, but to do that youneed to get power to the turboliftby turning on two generators.
Generator One
To get to the first generator,jump down to the walkway below youand follow it to a metal grate you can climb.
Walk past the control console, then attach your grapple hook to the latch point above you andswing across to the next platform.
To your right, just past the door,climb the grate up and to your left, then pull yourself up.
Turn left andjump across to another metal grate, then climb up to another platform filled with deactivated clone droids.
Turn right and walk through the droids. At the end of the walkwayjump to some handles on the walland climb up and then to your right,pulling yourself up onto the platform.
Open the hatch for the vent andcrawl inside to the next room. Take the ladder down where you’ll find a container and some other resources to loot,then go through the open door on the right.
At the end of the hallway take a left through a doorinto a long air corridor. Go left to grab some resources, then go right,under the fan, then take the left path, andgo under the broken fan.
Walk up to the generator andpress the prompt to turn it on.
Generator Two
From the first generator,take the turbolift on your left down, then turn around and walk forward.
Here are two large fans thatturn on and off at regular intervals, with metal grates that you may climb across.Wait for the fans to turn off before climbing across, stopping in the middle if you have to.
Once you’re clear of the fans,keep following the walkway to your left. You’ll slide down the ramp, and land just a few feet from the generator.
Turn on the generator, then turn around andwalk across the platform to your righttowards the column.
Before you go back up to the lift console, go around to theother side of the column to find some resources to loot.
Use the grapple point above you toget to the walkway at the top of the column. Follow the yellow arrows to theboxes moving past youon the motorized railing.
Jump onto a box as it passes you andride it to where the blue energy fieldis, then drop onto the platform below.
From here turn right, jump across, then climb the metal grates to where the console is.Approach the console and hack into it with your slicerand direct power to the turbolift.
Legacy Quest Walkthrough: Defeat Zerek Besh Intruders
Once the lift is powered,Gedeek will mention that he hears intruders. While he and ND-5 continue forward, you’ll stay behind to deal with the invaders.
Turn around and walk through the door behind you,then through the next door.
Turn left and jump across to the platform.Above you to the left are some handleson the column. Climb them to the platform above, thenclimb up a series of metal grates and hand holdsto another platform, where you’ll startoverhearing the guards talking.
To the left on the bridge is one guard, but therest of them are to your right, andyou need to get past them all. You can either kill them all,or sneak past using the holes in the floor.
Once you’ve dealt with them all,head forward through the large double door, then turn right and open the next door, stopping to collect some loot from the chest first.
In the next room you’ll have to fighttwo more Zerek Besh agents. Don’t forget to use your grenades and bacta vials to heal.
Once the agents are dead, the next cut scene will start where youmeet up with Gedeek, ND-5, and the Rebels. Apparently, the old factory isbeing used as a Rebel outpost.
Legacy Quest Walkthrough: Help Asara Free The Rebels
Asara agrees to allow Gedeek to use the Rebels' resources to search the factory for the part you need to fix ND-5,but he needs your help freeing some of his Rebel friends from a Hutt outpost.
After checking in with ND and Gedeek, turn around andfollow the corridors to the turboliftthat will take you back to the surface. The place you’re supposed to meet Asarais about 3km northeast of the factory.
You’ll have to pass throughboth Pyke and Hutt territoryto meet Asara so be mindful that if your reputation with either of them isn’t good,they will attack you.
When you’re about200m away from the meeting point, leave the speeder behind and climb up to where he’s waiting using aseries of anchor points and climbable walls.
A cut scene will take place where Asaratells you where the Rebels are being keptand what you need to do to free them. Once the cut scene ends, climb down the ledge below you, go across the valley,then climb up the walls on the other side.
The Rebels are being held in the cages at the back of the camp.You need to find the switch to unlock the cagesso they can fight their way out.
After your climb, you’ll arrive at thelanding pad being patrolled by a droid. The easiest way to get to the control panel for the cages is tosneak around the perimeter of the camp, using the tall grasses to hide silently taking down Hutt guards if you need to.
Don’t forget touse Nix to distract enemiesand to sabotage or trap alarm panels.Keep following the perimeter till you find a ladder to the platformwhere the console is.
Slice the console,use it to open the gates,then jump down and join the Rebels in fighting your way out of the Hutt camp.
Once you’ve all escaped,Gedeek will send word that they found the part for ND-5, and the final cut scene will begin. Once the cut scene is over,the Legacy Quest will be complete.
