Summary

Nintendohas never been one for following trends or doing things like everyone else. That extends to its pre-order bonuses. When pre-orders for Nintendo games go live, the bonuses you get for ordering early aren’t revealed right away. For some reason, Nintendo waits until the game is almost here to reveal what you’ll get, if anything, for buying it early. With a little more than a week to go, those who pre-orderedSuper Mario Party Jamboreenow know what they’ll get as a bonus with their copy of the game.

The other thing Nintendo tends to do differently from everybody else when it comes to pre-orders is it makes certain bonuses exclusive to certain retailers. Possibly a way to try and tempt completionists to buy multiple copies of the games, but the more realistic outcome is those who haven’t placed their pre-orders yet will make their decision based on what they get at each retailer.

If you have already placed a pre-order for Jamboree and it was from Best Buy, GameStop, or Target, you’re able to take a look at what you’re going to get below. If you haven’t placed a pre-order yet and you will now base your decision on where is offering what bonus, it’s choosing time. Pre-order Super Mario Party Jamboree from Best Buy andyou’ll get a tote bag featuring the game’s cover art, and Target’s pre-order bonus isthe same artwork on what Nintendo has dubbed a party tin.

Target’s pre-order bonus is only available if you buy Jamboree in store once the game has been released on October 17, so more just a bonus than a pre-order bonus, I guess.

Your First Look At Super Mario Party Jamboree’s Pre-Order Bonuses

Which One Do You Want The Most?

My favorite bonus of the three, and where I will be placing my pre-order, is the one exclusive to GameStop.A replica of a Mario Party dice block that has been turned into a keychain. It’s not clear if the pre-order bonuses will be retroactively included with orders that were placed before these items were revealed. It seems likely, though. It would be a little unfair if those who placed pre-orders earliest are punished for doing so, but hey, this is Nintendo, so who knows?

Super Mario Party Jamboree

Super Mario Party Jamboree is a bumper edition of the popular party game series from Nintendo, with over 100 minigames and seven boards. It also features online play for up to 20 players.

You’ll also notice Amazon and Walmart are missing from the list of retailers to have received their own Super Mario Party Jamboree pre-order bonuses. That’s because the new Switch game isn’t available at Amazon or Walmart. There has been something strange going on between Nintendo and those two retailers that has resulted in pre-orders for Switch games not being available through their storefronts, andin Amazon’s case, new Switch games aren’t being sold on the site at all.
