It’s clear the as-of-yet-unnamed successor to theNintendo Switchwill be announced within the next year. Until now, developers have kept quiet about the upcoming console as Nintendo has not yet made an official announcement.
However, Pathea Games, developer of the My Time At series recently announced a new entry in the series, My Time at Evershine. The new entry is reminiscent of its predecessors, and the studio is currently hosting aKickstarterto gain additional funding.
There was a noteworthy inclusion in the announcement of My Time at Evershine. “Pathea is committed to launching My Time at Evershine on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and future Nintendo platforms yet to be announced.”
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has already revealed that we can expect the Switch 2 announcement before the end of the fiscal year, Jul 26, 2025.
This is the first time a developer has committed to releasing a game on Nintendo’s Switch successor. It’s unknown if Pathea has received the go-ahead from Nintendo to develop a game for the Switch 2, or if the studio is simply just confirming it intends to bring the game to the next Nintendo console when it can.

My Time at Evershine will feature 20-30 unique characters, 8-10 of them romanceable and some returning from My Time at Portia andMy Time at Sandrock. A big change for returning players is that My Time at Evershine will allow for multiplayer with up to four players, though only the game’s host will be able to proceed through the main story.
