EA Sports FC 25Ultimate Team changed the landscape of the mode once again, as the market continues to diverge into two types of players: meta and non-meta. With a heightened focus on the competitive reward structure, Ultimate Team games are more challenging than ever in both online and offline modes.
However, if you’re building your Ultimate Team from scratch, you’ll need to add some incredibly skilled players to your lineups. While there are some lower-rated players for extremely cheap prices, we’ll be trying to strike a balance between meta-relevance and affordability, givingstarter options for brand-new teams,and for those slightly further along.

As one of the cheapest cards on the list, Eduardo Camavinga stands out as one of thebest French players in Ultimate Teamif you factor in cost. While players likeMbappé and Griezmanntower above Camavinga in terms of their overall ability, they come withsky-high pricetags to match.
Camavinga can get the job done in the midfield, serving as an excellent Holding Midfielder, Deep-Lying Playmaker, or Box-to-Box. However,he also boasts the flexibility to shift to LBif you’re missing a quality option in that position, but you have plenty of midfielders in your squad.

Speaking of LBs, Andrew Robertson is one of the most affordable quality options in EA FC 25. While his card has received notable downgrades over the past two years, Robertson can still put in a quality defensive shift while boasting plenty ofoffensive threat in the form of his 82 Passing.
However, Liverpool links are also a huge bonus to consider, as Virgil van Dijk remains one of the premier defensive options that you might want to add to your team. Robertson’s Attacking Wingback++ Role makes him an extremely effective player on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes,thanks to his Relentless PlayStyle Plus.
Rose Lavelle is an extremely solid CAM who might be five times as expensive if she boasted a better linkset. Since you need to deploy other players from her league and nation to use her effectively, it can be difficult to build a team with full chemistry.
As things stand, Lavelle excels at creating chances for her teammates, with the Pinged Pass PlayStyle Plus dramatically improving her passing speed. If you need a great substitute who won’t cost too much, Lavelle can be an excellent option.
While Manchester United haven’t been firing on all cylinders in recent years, Diogo Dalot’s card is surprisingly good. While he is quickly falling behind due to his low rating, Dalot plays far better than the 82 suggests, and can help you lock down either flank as aRight-Back or Left-Back.
Dalot’s solid defensive abilities are good enough to get the job done offline or serve as an emergency stopgap if you’re not ready to commit to a formation.
While Barella is one of the more expensive cards here, it won’t take you more than a day to get him, even if you have just started playing. As one ofthe best midfieldersin Serie A, Barella is a must-have if you’re using other players in his league.
Put him in ahalf-winger role as a central midfielder and watch Barella shine,as he will noticeably contribute in all areas of the pitch. However you choose to deploy him, Barella outshines his 81 Pace, as he always seems to be in the right spot.

Unfortunately, Fridolina Rolfo’s quality comes with an increased price, but she’s still very cheap considering how many qualities she brings to the table.
Rolfo’s only major weakness is her linkset, as it can be difficult to get her on full chemistry.
However, Rolfo brings unprecedented versatility to the table, as she can play either LB or LW and isone of the best players to use in Rushfor when you’re not using her in your starting 11. Her Jockey PlayStyle Plus adds a cherry on top, as Rolfo makes an impressive mark for her price.
Bastoni burst onto the scene in FC 25 on the back of a solid upgrade to an 87-rated gold card, standing out asone of the best defenders in the game.
While he may not get as much attention as the other top-quality options given his link set, Bastoni can still put in a shift that will frustrate your opponents. Intercept is a perfect PlayStyle Plus that makes Bastoni one of the most reliable additions on this list.
While Sam Kerr is more than double the cost of the next most expensive player on the list, she’s easilyone of the best values in the game,especially if you’re able to link her with teammates like Ashley Lawrence or Guro Reiten, who can both serve as excellent additions to your side.
While Finesse Shot Plus isn’t as amazing as it was in FC 24, Kerr excels as a crafty Advanced Forward who can score in a blink thanks to her shifty footwork and solid PlayStyle Plus.
