Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2offers players a wide range of ways to customize their bulky space warriors, whether you want to represent your favorite Legion or come up with your design. Each class in the game has its own set of outfits to unlock (which you can then pick and choose parts of to make your ultimate Space Marine fantasy).

They also all have access to color and emblem sets for everyAstartes Chapterfrom the greater lore of the Warhammer universe. In this list, we will go over our picks for the best options for each class, as well as two of the best color options (although they are all great).

Keep in mind that, while the images showcase different colors for the armor sets, you can choose any color, or combination of colors, that you like for your gear.

8Sniper - Artificer Secundus and Relic Secundus

The Artificer Secundus gear set is unlocked by achieving victory in 21 missions. This set really makes you feel like a mix between a rough-and-tumble Space Marine and a stealthy sniper, with both a cloak and a red visor.

The Relic Secundus set is unlocked after winning 35 operations missions, and it’s similar to the former one but with a different color palette. Your cloak is camouflaged, and instead of a visor, you get tactical goggles in the vein of Sam Fisher fromSplinter Cell. Both sets are great options for the Marine who wants to slay heretics from afar.

7Vanguard - Relic Primus

The Relic Primus set is available after 36 victories in operations, and it’s a looker. With this set, you get a mechanical arm, as well as being strapped up with grenades, ammo pouches, and anything else a Vanguard might need.

We like this set because it gives off the essence of the Vanguard; a close-quarters fighter that can take the enemy out with any weapon, be that a gun, a blade, or even just their bare fists (or, in this case, a robot fist).

6Heavy - Relic Secundus

You can get Relic Secundus after 32 victories in operations. This set gives off the vibe of an imposing imperial guard, with true loyalty to the God Emperor.

The biggest factor is the ornament attached to your backpack. This ornament has skulls and a priest towering over your marine, as well as a skull servitor attached to your shoulder. It gives off the vibe of a battle priest holding the front lines for the church of the Imperium.

5Tactical - Relic Primus

Relic Primus is available after 28 victories achieved in operations mode. If you want to look like the future-space version of a Roman gladiator, this is the set for you.

This set has all the fixings for an honored marine of the Imperium. Sporting a variety of ornaments, ropes, and seals, everyone, both allies and enemies, will know to fear your loyalty to the throne.

4Bulwark - Artificer Secundus and Relic Secundus

The Artificer Secundus set is unlocked after victory in 22 operations, and it is one of our favorite sets. With the hood and cape pieces, it really allows you to feel like one of the Dark Angels, which were the original chapter of Space Marines to be seen.

The Relic Secundus set, acquired after 37 operations victories, takes a similar approach but emphasizes the “shield of the emperor” aesthetic that theBulwarkgives off. You get a brilliant helmet with a falcon motif, as well as an imposing shield design.

3Assault - Relic Secundus

The Relic Secundus set is unlocked after 35 victories in operations; unfortunately, most of the gear sets for the Assault class are a bit underwhelming, as they tend to be pretty much the same. However, this set looks great and is the final set you can unlock for the class.

With this set, you get golden wings arching across your shoulders, which is fitting for this aerial combatant. You also get plenty of gold-plated emblems and badges to show that you are a seasoned veteran of the battlefield.

2Favorite Gear Piece - Green-Eyed Helmet

We wanted to give a shout-out to one specific gear piece, and that is the green-eyed helmet option. Not every class has this item, unfortunately, but for the ones that do, it’s a great piece.

While most of the helmet pieces for your marines have red eyes, this helmet simply allows you to have green eyes instead. While not a massive change, and up to personal preference, we like it because it allows you a wider range of mix-and-match color options that will go with your eyes.

1Favorite Colors - Scythes of the Emperor and White Scars

The Scythes of the Emperor is a loyalist chapter of the Space Marines, and their colors are striking, which is why we wanted to highlight them. Sporting gold and black, this color set gives off an imposing and noticeable appearance to your Space Marine.

On the other end of the color spectrum, we get the color set based on the White Scars, another loyalist chapter that are based on the Mongols who live to ride on steampunk motorcycles instead of horses. Their color set is white and red, which stands out on the battlefield and gives you something different from the typical blues and reds you see.
