It doesn’t matter if you’re swinging big damage numbers or causing so much poison damage, because the backbone of any good party is the healer. You can take as much damage as you can take, a good healer will have you back on the front lines faster than you can say medic.
It’s no different in the time-and-reality warped RPG gacha gameReverse 1999. You had better hope you have the luck to pull one of these units to round out your party, or else your journey to save time will be much harder. The question is, which one is going to be right for you?
9La Source
Powerful Heals, With The Defense Of Glass
La Source will heal your party as needed but don’t be surprised if she has an attitude while doing so. It’s not your fault, of course, but if you were on the receiving end of falling gold coins and selfish wishes, then you might understand how she feels.
Her Arcane skill, Spring Elfin, heals the entire party, and the strength of her spell depends on her attack power. That being said, you’ll have to end your battles quickly, because as strong as her healing spell is, she can’t withstand much damage and will soon fall in battle if you aren’t careful.
8Bunny Bunny
Damage First, Healer Second
The mark of a good healer is their ability to pull their teammates from the jaws of death quicker than they take damage. Bunny Bunny’s ultimate, Bunny Medal Cert, can greatly heal the entire party, as well as purify any negative status they’ve gained from battle. It can turn the tides of a battle in an instant.
Sadly, Bunny Bunny falls short of healing. She can’t heal with her other skills, though Sweet Gloves can prevent enemies from receiving full healing after it’s been fully portrayed. Not to mention, if you are in dire need of heals while she doesn’t have access to her adult, then you’re kind of left vulnerable. For a four-star, she’s good to have if you don’t have another healer, but you’rebetter off rolling for someone better.
7APPLe
You Can Never Go Wrong With A Free Unit
The first unit you get in the game, you’d better get used to him being in your party for a long while. APPLe doesn’t have healing outright, but his skill set allows the HP of the character with the lowest health to be replenished each time he uses it. Equal Amount Of Light, APPLe’s secondary skill, replenishes the HP based on APPLe’s attack power plus 60 percent. Not bad for someone looking so edible.
Yet, it would be better if you were able to control who he heals outright, rather than hoping he targets the right party member. It takes control right out of your hands, which isn’t ideal. Still, for a four-star, he’s a pretty good addition to your early-game party.
6Sotheby
She Can Harm As Much As She Can Heal
Spend any amount of time with Sotheby, and you’ll be spending time with a ray of pure sunshine. Optimism as pure as hers is rare amongthe temporal tragedies within Reverse 1999. Underneath that veneer of cheer, though, is an equal enthusiasm to poisoning enemies.
Concentrated Essence gives the party two stacks of Cure, which works as a type of regen healing here. The trade-off here is, that the skill doesn’t activate until it’s the last action of that turn, meaning enemies have a chance of downing you before you can recover. Her ultimate skill combines both in an explosive move, poisoning enemies and healing allies at the same time. If built right, she’ll do well in battle.
5Yenisei
A Well-Rounded Five Star
Don’t underestimate a five-star unit! Typically, in gacha games, if the unit isn’t the highest level you can obtain, they’re rendered obsolete almost as soon as you get them. Reverse 1999 makes sure that, even if the unit isn’t the strongest in terms of stats, it can still be a viable addition to any team you make.
Yenisei comes equipped with a skill, named Words with Water, that can heal a single target and give them the Sturdiness effect, raising their defense. On top of that, her ultimate, The Rapids Know All, grants all party members a shield for two turns. Yenisei doesn’t have much in the way of mass healing, but if managed right, she doesn’t need it.
4Balloon Party
A Living Fairy Tale For Children
From the depths of her illness and accidental neglect from her doctor’s parents treating victims of war, it wasn’t until Balloon Party got incredibly ill that she came into her new powers. With this new strength, she decides to protect and heal children, while causing serious harm to any adults who would harm children.
Piñata is a skill that will hit hard with reality damage, but if your characters have the buff party balloon or balloon of innocence, then the attack gains penetration. BP’s secondary attack, Coughing Weirdo, heals all your allies but turns into a counter-healing skill when leveled up. Finally, her ultimate, Good Kids Bad Adults, has a dual purpose of healing allies and damaging enemies, true to her nature.
3Tooth Fairy
Yes, The Tooth Collecting Myths Are True
Going to the dentist, for some, can be a stressful experience, even if you are cavity-free. There’s something inherently creepy about someone rooting around inside your mouth, even with a regular dentist. Add a creepy dentist who uses fairies as medicine AND food, and you have a downright mythic horror story.
She can confuse enemies with ease, using the skill Empty Gums, or she can choose to lull you into soothing healing with her ability Lullaby. Recipients of said heals get a 30 percent critical boost to their attacks. While her ultimate, Song for the Bad Tooth, can’t heal, it does clear debuffs from your party. Heaven help you if you have cavities.
2Medicine Pocket
A Healer That Isn’t Out Of Pocket
Once you meet Medicine Pocket, you get a sense that the healing they do is simply a byproduct of the research they dedicate themselves to. They can consistently debuff the enemy using their skill Inherent Habit, and it can stack with other characters' debuffs as well. Alchemy Ware heals all members and casts sturdiness on everyone in the party.
Their ultimate could be considered a bit underwhelming, as it only attacks one enemy, but it is a singular power attack that can cause them to get dazed for a turn. Medicine Pocket may or may not be a mad scientist, but they are always willing to help you out.
1Vila
A Master Of All Support
Let’s just get this out the way now: If you’re looking for a healing unit that can also attack, Vila isn’t for you. This Archanist can do it all when it comes to supporting attackers, especially mental-affluent characters. She buffs allies with her skill Beating Heart, which raises crit for any single target, while Wordless Song can heal and grant sturdiness to a single target.
We’re not done! Her ultimate, Bright Prospect, dispels all negative status effects from all allies in your party and grants herself Rusalka, which boosts all her incantations, at the cost of using her ultimate. While Rusalka is active, she can’t build it back up. If you don’t mind her single target rotation, this support powerhouse deserves a spot on your team.
