Summary
InPersona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis, the long-awaited remake of Persona 3 FES’s The Answer, players find themselves thrown into one last adventure with their friends from SEES, as the world is seemingly caught in a time loop. April 1st will never arrive unless you delve deep into the Abyss of Time, the new dungeon in this DLC.
Just like Tartarus from the main game, the Abyss of Time is filled to the brim withpowerful enemies, but thanks to Aigis receiving the ability to wield and fuse multiple personas, your job will be made easier. Making sure to fuse the best personas in the early game will help you tremendously in no time at all.
8Hua Po
When you begin Episode Aigis, you start with Orpheus, the original persona of the protagonist from the main game. While Orpheus may be level 26 and have access to Agilao, Hua Po is another great starting pick for Maragi, a multi-target fire attack.
Multi-target moves are going to be very sparse at the beginning of the DLC, as all of your companions have lost most of their skills from the last adventure, and Junpei and Koromaru are not available from the start. Having a persona like Hua Po for the beginning is a good idea for more fire coverage.
7Power
While exploring the Abyss of Time, you may come across a Principality in shuffle time. Principality has a lot of benefits for you defensively and is a decent pickup, but Power is a clear upgrade in just about every way.He even has a Theurgy associated with him too.
Power offers you two great resistances to wind and pierce damage and also blocks all light damage, which happens to be a more common element the bosses of the first area like to throw at you. Power is also quite good offensively as well, with strong physical and magic skills to boot.
6Matador
If you want to give yourself some starting advantages in battle while not losing too much offensive strength, Matador is a great option to fuse. Not only does he nullify wind and darkness damage, he also learns the mighty Auto-Sukukaja pretty quickly.
His high base agility will also ensure that you go very early in the turn order, if not just first outright. Planning strategies can be made a lot easier if you can increase the odds of you acting first, so don’t overlook this speedy skeleton.
5High Pixie
With Mitsuru off doing her own thing at the start of the game, you might be hurting for a reliable way to do ice damage. While Metis, your new party member, does have access to Bufula, you will most likely want your own ice spells to fill out your coverage.
High Pixie is a great ice spell user, having both Bufula and Mabufu as options for single-target and multi-target respectively. She also has a pretty high magic stat for the start of the game, so her spells will hurt right off the bat.
4Take-Mikazuchi
Look no further than Take-Mikazuchi if you want a persona that strikes your foes with lightning at a moment’s notice. Akihiko shouldn’t be your only electric user, so making sure to have an electric persona of your own is vital.
With access to Zionga, Mazio, and Elec Break, fighting single enemies or groups won’t be an issue, even if they have resistance to electricity. He also learns Auto-Tarukaja early too, making him great for buffing yourself at the start of the battle to really let the damage soar.
3Mitra
Mitra is a very powerful persona to fuse for a couple of reasons. He’s good defensively, nullifying ice and light damage, but his skills make him a true powerhouse. Not only that, but his high magic stat gives him an even bigger boost.
Mitra can use a little bit of ice magic, but really shines at light attacks. Kouga and Makouha are great skills at dealing with enemies early on. Not only that, but with abilities like Counter and Diarama, you are able to protect yourself and heal your allies too, which makes him a great persona for sheer utility.
2Fortuna
A persona you should be able to get incredibly early is Fortuna, a special fusion at only level 16. While she takes three different personas to fuse her, her abilities and stats make up for that.
Despite her low level, her elemental coverage of ice and wind makes her pretty versatile offensively, and her high magic stat belies her low starting level. She also comes with Growth 1, and great skill to fuse onto other personas in order to level them up faster, making her a great persona not to be skipped.
1Pale Rider
Probably the best persona you could go out of your way to pick up is Pale Rider. While he is another special fusion, thus requiring more than two personas to fuse, his strength and skills more than make up for the investment.
You don’t have a reliable way to deal dark damage at the start of the game, with Koromaru being absent. Making sure you get a persona who can do that is vital to your success. With both damaging and instant death spells, and strong physical skills, you’ll be spoiled for choice with this horseman.
