Filled to the brim with comedy, Legends of Avantris has gone through several different D&D campaigns and arcs.

It has reached the point where you might not entirely be sure where you should start or where you may want to start. Although you could, in theory, start from anywhere, having designated starting points is sure to grant you the best experience possible.

What Is Legends Of Avantris?

Legends of Avantris is aDungeons & Dragons streaming group of best friends. They regularly play throughvarious campaigns, utilizing different adventure modulesto provide unique and fun experiences for their players and viewers.

Although the crew rotates between players and dungeon masters, there are seven members of the Legends of Avantris: Mikey, Richie, Nikkie, Andy, Derek, Kelsey, and Mace. Including the Patreon exclusive campaigns,there are 14 different campaigns and many one-shots that you can watch or listen to.

Where Can You Watch Legends Of Avantris

If your interest has been caught and you want to watch Legends of Avantris, there are a few different ways that you’re able to watch. If you’re looking to watch campaigns that have already been finished or you’re trying to get caught up with the current ones, then you canwatch Legends of Avantris on YouTube.

If you just want to jump right in thenyou can dive in head-first with Twitch, watching the live-streamed games as they happen. Although the schedule can vary, you should generally expect to be able to watchLegends of Avantris on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm EST.

The Best Place To Start

Although you may generally watch each individual campaign isolated from one another,Mikey did declare an official watch order for the Legends of Avantris campaignsthat proceeds in the following order:

I believe that this order is great and starting with Once Upon a Witchlightis an excellent way to introduce new people to the crew and the way that Legends of Avantris generally runs their games. It’s fun, comedic, and light-hearted.

In the first few episodes, they explain how things like Twists of Fate work, which is great for people who aren’t familiar with the group. Once Upon a Witchlight is a super inviting and beginner-friendly campaign that’s light-hearted and full of amazing roleplay moments.

The Whatever You Want Order

Given that, for the most part, the campaigns are relatively separate from one another as they rely on different adventure modules and utilize different characters, you may pick them up wherever you want. Of course, you probably want to stick to specific watch orders within a series.

You’re free to let your watch order differ from the one established by Mikey depending on the kind of mood you’re in. I recommend putting your time into the free-to-watch campaigns before you go into the Patron-only campaigns.

As a lover of both spooky things and comedy,I recommend starting with Beneath Dark Wings, as it has an exceptional amount ofcontent that leans into both the gothic and the comedy aspects. If you prefer to lean more intospooky horror for the spooky season(which is year-round, if you’re bold enough)I highly recommend Edge of Midnight, which is a folktale horror adventure.

If you just want aconstant stream of comedy, then you shouldstart with Once Upon a Witchlight.
