Palmer is likely to continue getting promo cards throughout the year if he maintains his stellar form and leads Chelsea’s offense like last season. While his Pace is easily his biggest weakness, Palmer is a fantastic finesse player for any PL-themed side.
While Cole Palmer is one to watch as he receives upgrades, Phil Foden is the finished product and represents the improved version of Palmer if comparing base gold cards.
These two players will be forever linkedas Foden’s emergence and talent is the primary reason why Palmer left Man City to get starting time at Chelsea.
While Foden and Palmer are nearly identical in every facet,Foden’s Pace is superior, offering more explosiveness going forwardwith the ball at his feet.
Chloe Kelly stands out as one of the premier right-wing choices to get your team clicking. As a fairly affordable budget player, Chloe Kelly possesses the blisteringPacerequired to tear down the wing andfree herself for a cross into the box.
While she isn’t nearly as clinical as Foden at finishing, Kelly is an excellent distributor from the right side, while Foden is more dangerous in the center of the park (but can play RW). Given their different roles,Kelly grabs a slight edge over Foden due to her superior weak foot.
Trent Alexander-Arnold stands out as one of the best passers in Ultimate Team with his incredible 90 base Passing, which is improved by one in his Total Rush version. Despite a lack of blistering speed, TAA can perform exceptionally well as aFalseback, allowing him to join in on the attack.
Playing Trent, or anyone in their best role, is the most important part of getting them to perform to their potential.
As long as you play to Trent’s strengths and allow him to create dangerous chances with crosses, he’ll contribute to your win.
Lauren Hemp is essentially a left-sided clone of Chloe Kelly but offers improved Pace and Dribbling while sacrificing Shooting and Passing prowess. Luckily,the tradeoffs are minimal, butthe boosts help to give Hemp the boost she needs to be effective from the left side.
Hemp is just as affordable as Chloe Kelly, making them an excellent duo for your wings, with both players providing perfect links to each other. Even if Kelly and Hemp are your only two women’s players, theirchemistry shouldn’t be an issue if you have other English players.
Declan Rice is one of the best defensive midfielders in world football and is ready to hold the mantle along with Rodri as there isn’t an abundance ofstandout young defensive midfieldersavailable. While Declan Rice’s face stats don’t stand out,he’s an incredibly solid player who outperforms his ratings.
Arsenal links are superb for most English-themed sides and provide the perfect connection for some of the best players to use in Ultimate Team this year.
Rice’s teammate also claims one of the top spots for the best English player in Ultimate Team.

Lauren James stands out as the best RWs available, boastingdirect chemistry with Sam Kerr as one of her best qualities,and James' role as an Inside Forward will create a dynamic duo in your attack.
Even if you don’t have Kerr,Ashley Lawrenceis an excellent right back to use to give James some chemistry.
Given her incredibly affordable cost, Lauren James might just be one of the best budget options for your buck, considering the combination of Pace, Dribbling, and finishing she possesses to contribute to your offense.
Two Stars
Kyle Walker retains his crown asone of the best defenders in Ultimate Teamreturning with incredible Pace and solid defensive attributes that make him a well-rounded right-back option.
While he’s not better than TAA on offense, Walker boasts a massive Pace boost and a small bump to his Physical to make him a great option.
Kyle Walker’s links are also excellent, as they are perfect for players like Phil Foden, Chloe Kelly, and Lauren Hemp. However, Walker is likely to cost the most of the four players.
Bukayo Saka stands out as one of the best wingers in Ultimate Team, especially if you’re able to get your hands on his upgraded versions, as his base card provides a solid base for upgrades.
Arsenal links are perfect if you have Declan Rice, but Saka’s other teammates will be excellent alternatives throughout this year.
Unfortunately, Saka won’t be pulling off any Skill Moves to dazzle the opposition, but his focus on Pace, Dribbling, Passing, and Shooting makes him a well-rounded option who can create offense for others or himself.
When it comes to the best English player in Ultimate Team, there’s no contest – it’s Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid star cemented his incredible abilities over his debut season in Madrid,saving the club from draws or defeats on multiple occasions.
Bellingham’s90 Finishingis one of the highest in the game for a gold card.
Bellingham’s incredibly well-rounded attributes make him a menace in the midfield who can dispossess the opponent and turn defense into offense in the blink of an eye.
