Swim Morphs are likely the morphs you’ll be changing into less often than the rest of the morphs inThrone And Liberty, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t nice to have the coolest-looking ones you can manage. Unlike the other movement morphs, some of the swim morphs do have extra effects that are tied to their skin, though these effects are by no means very important.

There is some real creature diversity when it comes to the swim morphs, with everything ranging from otters to sharks, turtles, and more. All of these are adorable in one way or another, but here are the ones that might be a little bit extra.

8Roving Lutrang

The Roving Lutrang might look a little plain, but don’t let that dissuade you; this little thing wears a lily pad for a hat, and it’s a surprisingly adorable and endearing touch. Aside from that, it’s got that playful body language all of the Lutrang’s have.

This is the swim morph that you start with, so there’s no need to unlock it. But, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a swim morph you get attached to, and you can switch back and forth any time.

7Frost Lutrang

The Frost Lutrang is about as far away from the Roving Lutrang as you can get while staying with the same species, with this one being entirely white and blue — except for its paws. It’s adorned with some flashy white hair, along with silver decorations on its neck and back.

The Frost Lutract can be acquired as a drop from the Tevent Archboss encounter in the Ruins of Turayne; this is definitely a level 50 encounter, so you’ll need to be finished with the main Quest in order to get this.

6Opal Dracoryft Turtle

The Opal Dracoryft Turtle is a turtle that manages to be bright, but still reserved enough that you think it might naturally have that color scheme. It’s got muted blue and green on its back, along with an assortment of corals stacked on top, like a backpack on a backpack.

The Opal Dracoryft Turtle does not take any damage when moving through lava areas. It’s obtainable on floors five and six of Syleus’s Abyss, in the Miserable Record of Despair. It’s a surprisingly happy-looking Turtle found in a grim-sounding place.

5Geode Dracoryft Turtle

The Geode Dracoryft Turtle is, somehow, a Turtle that looks like it could beat you up. What’s more, it looks like it wants to beat you up, like a Turtle mixed with Doomsday from DC Comics. It’s got dark-and-bright purple crystals sticking out of its body, with sharp teeth and protrusions all over.

The Geode Dracoryft Turtle does not take any damage when moving through lava areas, and is obtainable from Mystic Portals found all around the open world. These are opened with Mystic Keys that you can get from Contract Merchants.

4Fairy Merlapin

The Fairy Merlapin is, almost certainly, the most adorable movement-morph in the game. In fact, it’s so adorable that it almost looks out of place compared to the realistic animal companions that it stands beside. But that’s not a complaint; its cartoonish body and colorful scheme look fantastic.

The Fairy Merlapin is purchasable from the store for 1,500 Lucent. Lucent can be earned in the in-game auction house for selling certain gear, crafted items, or food, so it doesn’t necessarily require a real-money purchase to acquire.

3Golden Lutrang

The Golden Lutrang looks like royalty, with a helmet-crown adorned with decoration on the top, as well as down its back. It keeps a pretty muted color scheme, which works to make the gold pop more than it would otherwise.

The Golden Lutrang is purchasable as part of the Silver Celebration Package, along with plenty of in-game currency and the Fluffy Almiraz Dash Morph (which is very adorable and worth considering on its own).

2Radiant Otter

The Radiant Otter has a very different aesthetic to the Golden Lutrang, opting instead for a very bright combination that fits in with the other Radiant morph types in the other movement styles. The Radiant Otter is white with purple-and-pink trim and a horn, also adorned with a dark metallic collar around its neck.

The Radiant Otter was obtainable as part of purchasing any of the different Early Access Packs, whether it was the Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate, and may or may not become available in some other way later on.

1Shadow Shark

The Shadow Shark is currently the only Shark available in the game, making it a unique morph, sitting alongside the Fairy Merlapin in that regard. (Though those two morphs are on very different ends of the spectrum.)

The Shadow Shark does not receive any movement penalty when in a swamp. It was available exclusively in the Ultimate Early Access pack, and may or may not become available some other way eventually.
