Every hero inDeadlockcomes with an Ultimate, which is typically their strongest ability, and can be strong enough to change the course of a game. Due to the different roles in this game, some Ultimates are meant to provide support, while others are more direct and are used to cause as much damage as possible.
There are also a lot of factors that come into play, such as how situational these Ultimates are or how easily some of them can be countered, and we will try and take them all into account while creating this list.
9Mo & Krill
Lock Down Your Enemies
Mo & Krill’s Ultimate, known as the Combo, is one of the most underrated abilities in the game, and it can be very strong if used well. This Ultimate locks down your target while stunning them and dealing some damage as well. Note that this ability locks Mo & Krill in one place as well, which means that it can be very situational.
The best part of this Ultimate is that it holds your enemies in one place, as the amount of damage it causes isn’t too much. The way to get the best use out of it is to find solo opponents, and then punish them with your teammates following up with you. This Ultimate is very strong in the laning phase, but it can be just as good in the late gameif you have maxed out your builds.
8Lash
One Of The Most Fun Ultimates
Lash’s Ultimate is called the Death Slam, and while it may be one of the toughest ults to pull off successfully, it is very powerful and fun. The Death Slam uses Lash’s whips to raise enemies in the air, before throwing them back down and slamming into them, thus, damaging them and everybody in their small radius. The tough part about his Ultimate is that it can be hard to capture enemies, as it requires them to be in your line of sight for a few seconds.
A great way to make good use of this Ultimate is by using it during team fights, to cause damage as well as to pull your enemies out of position. As the range on your whips can feel quite limiting while ulting, focus on items that increase the range of attacks, such as Mystic Reach. It will require some practice to get good with this hero, but once you do, he can be very annoying for opponents to deal with.
7Haze
Simple But Deadly
Haze hasone of the easiest Ultimates in Deadlockas it is solely focused on causing as much damage as possible. This Ult is called the Bullet Dance, and it sends her into a flurry, where her fire rate is increased, and she can spray her bullets at all the enemies close to her with almost perfect accuracy,
Although it might seem like a good idea to jump into team fights blindly with her ult, a much better strategy is to use your invisibility to potentially flank enemies and catch them off-guard, as it makes your bullets even tougher to dodge. A very common combination we have seen throughout our games is pairing this Ultimate with the Unstoppable item, which makes you immune to many status effects and can make this one of the strongest ults in the game.
6Abrams
Smash Them All
Abram’s Ultimate, theSeismic Impact,is a little bit similar to Lash’s, but instead of lifting enemies in the sky, he just smashes into his enemies after jumping into the air, damaging everyone in its radius and stunning them for a short time.
AOE attacks usually tend to make for the best Ultimates in this game, as they are tougher to counter, and so is the case with this one. This ult works best during team fights and can be a great choice for the mid to late game as it is even stronger when it is maxed out.
5Ivy
A Team-Based Ultimate
Ivy’s Air Drop is one of the few Ultimates that requires an ally to work to its full potential. This Ult lets Ivy fly high up in the air while carrying a teammate or a bomb, both of which she can drop to cause a huge explosion that damages everyone in its radius and makes them slow as well.
One of the best strategies that you can implement with this ultimate is to carry an ally possessing the soul or spirit urn to its endpoint. The fact that your allies take less damage while they are being carried, as well as the fact that they are tougher to hit makes this very hard to stop.
4Dynamo
Situational But Extremely Powerful
Dynamo’s Ultimate is called the Singularity, and it is potentially one of the best abilities in the game, due to the sheer amount of damage it can cause, but it is also very situational as it can be countered relatively simply.
The Singularity pulls all enemies in your radius close to you, while damaging them and then hitting them all up into the air. This ult works best when it’s maxed out as it can not only increase its radius but also cause a lot more damage. Combining this Ultimate with other teammates is the best way to get the most value out of it, and can be good enough to wipe out whole teams.
3Kelvin
To Make Life Easier For Your Team
Kelvin’s Ultimate, the Frozen Shelter, isone of the few supportive Ultimates in Deadlock, that feels very strong. This creates a dome-like structure around Kelvin, that regenerates his allies' health while also slowing down enemies that try to enter it.
This Ultimate works best when used strategically, either to secure the Patron or during mid-boss fights, or to counter enemy AOE Ultimates and abilities by giving your teammates a secure place to hide in.
2Seven
A Damage-Causing Beast
Seven’s Ultimate has probably been one of the most controversial ults in the game. It is called the Storm Cloud and forms a cloud around Seven that damages everyone close to him. At first, players touted this as the best ultimate in the game, as newer players had no idea how to deal with it, but as the skill level of the community grows, it feels a lot easier to play against as new ways to counter it emerge, such as buying items like Knockdown.
Yet, combining this ult with other ults such as Ivy’s Air Drop can still make it quite dangerous, as Seven becomes even harder to hit while he’s raised into the sky. If you manage to catch your enemies out, then this can cause a tonne of AOE damage and completely change the course of a game.
1Bebop
The Best Ultimate Despite All The Nerfs
Bebop has gone through a range of nerfs and buffs recently, but his Ultimate, the Hyper Beam, is still one of the strongest if you manage to pull it off correctly. This beam fires off in a straight line to damage enemies while also slowing them down in the process.
The long-range of this ult makes it even better, and upgrading it can also heal Bebop based on the amount of damage he does to enemies. This Ultimate is perfect for wide open and long-range spaces, which makes it super annoying to deal with.
