Deep Archimedea (and its more difficult variant, Elite Archimedea) is some of the more difficult content inWarframe, and one where many players are going to look to bring a team together, rather than trying it on their own. Deep Archimedea can impose certain restrictions on players, such as their loadout or other modifiers that can dramatically alter how it plays.

Because of this, you’ll need to be ready to run a variety of different Warframes and, if playing on a team, try and fill a certain role. As with a lot of the more difficult content, survivability is crucially important here. Warframes capable of sustaining a lot of damage without support are valuable, as are Warframes that are capable of providing support when others need it.

7Rhino

One of the better Warframes geared towards survivability out there, the Rhino Warframe can take a heavy beating and keep charging through it. Rhino can also do a few different things that are wildly helpful for different reasons, ranging from defensively-tilted abilities to offensively-sided, all the way into crowd control possibilities.

Rhino’s Iron Skin improves his survivability tenfold, allowing him to become invulnerable to damage for a short time, and increasing the amount of damage he can take without dropping for a short time afterward. Rhino’s Roar ability increases his and any nearby allies' damage for a bit, and his Stomp is a great crowd-control ability. All in all, Rhino is valuable in a lot of different ways and easy to find a place for in the squad.

6Revenant

Revenant is capable of taking quite a beatingwithout getting knocked down, but is also capable of fulfilling a variety of different functions. Revenant is going to make large groups of enemies much less of a threat, and even turn them into something beneficial for Revenant and his squad, all while keeping himself on his feet without much difficulty.

Revenant’s Mesmer Skin redirects damage, stunning those who attack him. Those stunned enemies can then be enthralled, forcing them to fight for Revenant and turning a horde of enemies into half a horde of allies. Revenant can also enthrall enemies without using his Mesmer Skin for less of an energy cost. His Danse Macabre ability is a great crowd damage ability that can make a significant difference in a room, and any Thralls that get put down by this ability drop shield pickups.

5Gauss

Gauss is a multifaceted Warframe, able to keep himself alive in a variety of ways, from damage mitigation to moving so fast the enemy can’t possibly keep their shots on him. Gauss has unique mechanics in regards to his shield that enables him to get back in fighting shape quicker than other Warframes.

Gauss’s Kinetic Plating absorbs and converts incoming damage into energy, keeping him refreshed and able to use his abilities more or less constantly. This plating keeps him from getting knocked down and ensures he can keep running. This is important, because movement charges Gauss’s battery, and the more charged that battery is, the better Gauss’s shield recovery rate and delay are going to be.

4Trinity

Trinity has some very interesting support abilities, making her one of, if not the absolute best, support Warframe in the game. Every single one of Trinity’s abilities revolves around supporting herself and/or teammates in one way or another, from healing regeneration, energy regeneration, or damage mitigation. She’s a great Warframe to run as part of a group, allowing her allies to do their own jobs with much less worry about keeping themselves on their feet.

For healing abilities, Trinity has Well Of Life and Blessing. The former creates a healing aura around an enemy, healing allies that happen to be near the enemy, and healing them even more for dealing damage to the enemy. Blessing is more straightforward, restoring health and shields to nearby allies immediately, while also reducing their incoming damage for a short while. But Trinity isn’t just a healer; her Energy Vampire ability provides allies with energy over time, allowing them to use their own abilities more often.

3Wisp

Wisp is a great support character who does her job in a very different way to Trinity but isn’t focused entirely on support, either. Wisp can hold her own more easily, making her a great middle ground between a support character and a character that doesn’t necessarily need allies around to thrive.

Wisp’s motes attach to Wisp and her allies, and depending on what motes they are, can provide a variety of bonuses, from increased health and healing over time, to increased movement and attack speed, and more. But she’s also capable of turning invisible when in midair, helping keep herself safe, and her Sol Gate is a fantastic damaging ability, particularly for single targets with lots of health.

2Oberon

Oberon is a combo between a crowd-control/damage Warframe and a support Warframe, and this versatility makes him useful in many different hands, and many different scenarios. Passively, Oberon provides teammates 25% Health, Shield, and Armor links, but he doesn’t stop there.

Oberon can also fire a healing wave outwards, regenerating allies' health over time. In terms of non-support abilities, Oberon has a few, all of which revolve around dealing damage to multiple enemies at the same time. One of these abilities, Reckoning, stuns multiple enemies at a time, and if any of them die to the ability, they spawn a health orb where they fell, making for a nice little healing pit stop.

1Citrine

Citrine is a fantastic example of a Warframe balanced between support and offense, providing abilities that often do a bit of both. Passively, Citrine provides health regeneration for herself and allies, stacking with each health orb that she picks up, to a maximum of 25/second.

Her Preserving Shell provides her and nearby allies with a shell that increases in damage reduction for each kill and assist scored. Her Fractured Blast increases the chance that enemies hit with it drop health or shield orbs, and her other abilities deal either guaranteed critical damage to stunned enemies or inflict a myriad of negative status effects to enemies at the same time.
