Throne And Libertyhas some of the greatest freedom of any modern MMORPG when it comes to building your character. Instead of a simple class system, you have seven weapon options in Throne And Liberty, grabbing two different weapons, making for a ton of different options and unique playstyles.
Each weapon comes with different active and passive skillsas well as skill specialization, meaning there is areal wealth of build options out there. It’s definitely a game where you’re able to run whatever kind of build you’d like, but there are certain builds that have more obvious synergies than others.
8Dagger And Staff
Stack DoT’s With Poison And Burning
A very funmelee damage build, combining the Dagger and the Staff can be a great way to spread a tremendous amount of damage out with bothsingle-target and Area of Effect (AoE) attacks, with a heavy emphasis on damage over time (DoT).
Thedaggers can deal heavy damagewith their poison effect, both with the poison itself and in specializing the skills into dealing heavier damage to poisoned enemies. The Staff adds a burning DoT into the mix, allowing you to stack two DoTs at the same time, with a heavy critical attack chance and high attack speed. Stack your build with crits and evasion, and it can be a great time.
7Longbow And Crossbow
Ranged, Heavy Damage With Healing
The double-bow build is anall-range, heavy-damagebuild with somehealing capabilities alongside it. It can be focused in either of those two directions or provide a nice middle ground between the two for a more versatile build.
The interesting thing about this combination is the movement; theLongbow generally locks you in place, while theCrossbow gives you some enhanced mobility. More or less, this means you’ll either be standing still or moving at a higher speed than usual, making you look a little like a speedster that fires a constant barrage of arrows.
6Sword and Shield, Wand and Tome
Self-Sustaining Tank
One of the premier tanking options in Throne And Liberty, running theSword and Shieldalongside the Wand and Tome not only makes your build a mouthful, but it also makes itsupremely difficult to kill. The Sword and Shield is usually the tanking weapon of choice, with good options for provoking enemies and a lot of defensive capabilities.
Meanwhile, theWand and Tome have a ton of great healing potential, with self-heals and group heals both. Combining these two makes for an up-close-and-personal melee attacker that’s going to spend a lot of time with a health bar that’s more or less full.
5Sword And Shield, Greatsword
Tank With High Damage Capability And Health
This is a different option for tanking that brings the Greatsword alongside the Sword and Shield. The Greatsword is a very different companion weapon than the Wand and Tome, excelling in dealing a lot of damagebut also coming withplenty of health-buffing options, as well.
While you wouldn’t have quite the healing options with this alternative, they aren’t non-existent with the Greatsword by any stretch. But the Greatswordmakes a full commitment to the melee-stylewith great AoE attack options, as well as some meaningful passive health regeneration buffs, as well.
4Dagger And Greatsword
DoT And Heavy Attacks
The Dagger and Greatsword combination brings the best of both of these weapons to the table, making for amelee-centric damage-dealerthat has self-sustainability, DoT, and heavy-hitting attacks, all in one. It’s great for groups of enemies but also great for bosses, too.
Whichever of these two weapons you have in hand at the time is going to be dealing quite a bit of damage, either with a ton of little hits or less frequent but bigger hits. ThePoison or Thundercloud options with the Daggerwill ensure enemies are always debuffed one way or another, while theGreatsword allows you to get a lot of AoE damage out.
3Longbow, Wand, and Tome
Healing, Buffs, And Debuffs
If you really mean it when you say you want to heal, the Longbow and Wand and Tome build is going to be a good commitment. Both of these weapons have a plethora of healing options, and they both stick to ranged attacks, so if that’s your thing, this build is definitely worth a look.
These weapons aren’t just for healing, either; in combination, they do agreat job of debuffing enemies and buffing allies, too. Everybody fighting alongside you is going to notice a difference in their own performance because of what you’re doing, whether it be by dealing more crits to enemies or having quicker skill cooldowns.
2Greatsword, Wand And Tome
Combination Tank, Healer, And Damage Dealer
This is a similar idea to the Sword and Shield/Wand and Tome build, but with the Greatsword instead, allowing for a real range in possibilities. The Greatsword has some of thebest heavy-hitting damage potentialin the game and the ability to buff their health significantly, while theWand and Tome are going to help keep that buffed health as full as possible.
The Greatsword does not have as strong provoking options as the Sword and Shield, but provided they stay up close and personal with enemies andkeep buffing allies with abilities like Blood Devotion and DaVinci’s courage, they’ll be able to make a similar difference as a Sword and Board character.
1Greatsword And Longbow
Melee And Ranged Damage With Health Regeneration
The Greatsword and Longbow build requires a certain kind of rotation to make work, but when it does, it canattack from multiple different ranges very effectively in quick succession, not to mention fill atank, damage, or support role, all in one. The Precision Dash ability with the Greatsword is a great way to gain some distance from a target by using it in close proximity, sending you through and away from them.
From there, you can dish out your Longbow attacks, either out of necessity to get out of melee range or as part of a rotation. Once you’re ready to get back into melee range, you can charge right back in, since the Precision Dash cooldown is only 15 seconds long. In terms of passive synergy, the Longbow canincrease health regeneration and recovery, stacking perfectly with the Greatswords' ability to do much the same thing. It can take some fiddling to get right, but if you’re willing to fiddle, this build can play you a nice song.
