Dead Rising Deluxe Remastercan be daunting for newcomers, especially if you have heard horror stories about how excruciatingly hard it can be from the veterans who played it back in the day. The Mannequin Torso

After completing Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered’s introduction, you will be in the Security Room, which serves as the Safe Room, where you will bring back stranded Survivors left in the mall. As soon as youexit the Security Room via the ventandhead down the elevator,there will beMannequins lying on the floor directly in frontof the elevator.

Grab the Mannequin and start beating zombies downwith them, destroying them in a single hit. After a while, theMannequin will break into several parts.Pick up theMannequin Torsoto have adevastating weaponright off the rip.Seriously, this thing kills just about anything in one hit.

Orange Juice

Paradise Plazawill be thefirst area you get to exploreafter the introduction and iswhere you will find all remaining itemsin this guide, with thefirst being one of the best healing items in the gamethat you will likely use throughout the rest of your playthrough.

Uponexiting the Warehousethat leads to the Security Room,take a right and head up the large staircase.From here, keep moving forward until you find Colombian Roastmasters,asmall cantina on the second floorof the mall. Navigate over to themulti-deck fridgeandgrab some gallons of Orange Juice.They will keep you topped up when things get rough!

The Katana

While you’reat Colombian Roastmasters, peer over the railing next to the Orange Juiceto find aKatanaresting on the top of anorange awning.Leap over the railing and onto the awning to acquire one of the best weapons in the game.

This weaponwill serve you well throughout the entire game,as itdoes excellent damage to Psychopathsand willcarve through hoards of zombieswith ease. And the good news isit will permanently spawn here,meaningwhen it breaks, you can just return hereand acquire a new one!

The Submachine Gun

Speaking of powerful weapons in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you canobtain the Submachine Gun exceptionally early,a weapon that isconsidered one of the game’s best offerings.However, you will need to dosome minor platformingto obtain it.

Head back to the steps you took to the second floorof Paradise Plaza andlook to the right of them to find a blue awningbeside it that is barely out of reach. From here,jump onto the railing of the steps, then leap onto the awningandfollow it all the way to the endto find the Submachine Gun. Like the Katana, this is apermanent spawnfor the SMG, meaning you cancome back here and grab a new one after exhausting its ammo!

Camera 1 Book

Booksare perhaps going to be the most underutilized item in the game, especially by newcomers, but youshouldn’t sleep on themat all, as theyoffer exceptional buffsthat will help you out tremendously, like theCamera 1 Bookfound inContemporary ReadinginParadise Plaza.

Having this Book in your inventorywillboost Prestige Pointsgeneratedwhen taking Photos by 25 percent,making it an excellent item to have when first starting out, as it willhelp you level up much faster than usual, especially if you’re going to be taking lots of photosof zombies, Stickers, Psychopaths, and more!

Up next isanother Book.This time, however, it’s found inBachman’s BookporiuminParadise Plazaand is theHorror Novel 2 Book.It offers a25 percent boost to Prestige Points when killing zombies,making it another crucial item to snag when starting your playthrough.

It’s no surpriseyou will be killing LOTS of zombies during your session,so having this in your inventory will give you adramatic increase in Prestige Points(EXP), allowing you tolevel up substantially faster than you otherwise would have.Just remember thatBooks MUST be in your inventory if you want their effects!
