Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has made the Zombies experience significantly harder this year. Tons of zombie variants, tough scaling, and small maps have made this PvE activity a true test of skill in the higher rounds. You’ll need a strong weapon and as many upgrades as possible if you wish to survive.
Thankfully, some of the weapons in this year’s installment are absurdly powerful when Pack-A-Punched. In this list, we’ll be covering the ten best weapons you can use in CoD Zombies, taking into account Pack-A-Punch features and difficulty scaling to decide which guns shine above the rest.
Binary trigger (fires when you pressandrelease the trigger)
Justification
High burst DPS if you may manage the recoil
The DM-10 might seem like a subpar weapon at first glance, but it’s when you Pack-A-Punch it that it starts to truly shine. This weapon gains a binary trigger when upgraded, firing a round when you pullandrelease the trigger. This ensures you’ll hit the weapon’s max RPM, substantially increasing its burst DPS if you can keep your reticle on point. Throw on some recoil compensation attachments, and you have a solid workhorse weapon.
High precision damage
Traditional ballistic weaponry tend to perform poorly once you reach the higher rounds, but the Model L performs far better than the rest of the AR and SMG roster. This is partially due to the weapon’s high precision damage value. While it fires rather slow for an assault rifle, the Model L has virtually no recoil and a high headshot multiplier for its class. If you can keep your weapon fixed on the target’s head, it’ll perform just fine.
Once you get past round 20, you’ll need to push the Model L’s DPS withDeadshot Daiquiri’s augmentsand triple Pack-A-Punch. Use Cryo Freeze ammo to freeze enemies in place, and you should be fine up until the low to mid 30s. After that point, you’ll need an explosive firearm or some kind of wonder weapon, but that’s a criticism with virtually all ballistic weaponry in BO6, not just the Model L.
Quadruples the magazine size (64 ⇾ 256)
Large magazine, high mobility
The PP-919 might not be the strongest weapon for higher rounds, but if you’re looking for a powerful workhorse weapon for a 20-round match, this gun is absolutely worth grabbing. It’s an SMG with great mobility and a large base magazine of 64 rounds. For some strange reason, Pack-A-Punching this weaponquadruplesits magazine size, increasing it to 256.
Paired with its high mobility, the PP-919 is an excellent weapon for crowd control. Unleash a flurry of bullets to chip away at a horde, quickly reposition, and repeat. Just don’t expect this weapon to compete with wonder weapons in higher rounds.
Fires micro-missiles that explode on impact
Great for clearing hordes
Mustang and Sally return in Black Ops 6 in the form of the GS45. When Pack-A-Punched, this pistol fires explosive rounds that deal immense damage over a small area. The fire rate and magazine size are greatly reduced, but the damage increase is off the charts. If you need a gun for clearing hordes or shredding armor, the GS45 is a great pick. Just get it Pack-A-Punched as soon as you can.
Greatly tightens your pellet spread while ADS
Shreds hordes and armored zombies
The USAS-12 is in Black Ops 6, and it’s nothing short of a menace. This gun’s hipfire mode shreds fodder units, while ADS allows you to tighten your pellet spread to land headshots on larger foes. The Pack-A-Punched version actually improves this, substantially increasing your pellet spread while ADS. The ASG effectively turns into a slug launcher when you aim, so you can leverage critical multipliers from Deadshot Daiquiri to melt Manglers and elite monsters.
If you need to carpet an area with lead, you can fire this weapon in hipfire with little issue. It doesn’t have as much range as a typical assault rifle or SMG, but anything that gets close to you won’t survive.
Hipfire turns into a shotgun
Excellent burst DPS
For tougher rounds where enemies start to get tanky, you can’t go wrong with the SVD. This gun is arguably the weakest sniper out of the box, butwhen Pack-A-Punched, this weapon fires multiple rounds per trigger pull, similar to how Double Tap 2.0 used to work. Fire it in hipfire to treat this weapon like a shotgun, or ADS to land triple headshots with each trigger pull. It annihilates Maulers if you aim for the head, and it’s a solid option for fighting elites.
S-tier crowd control, high single-target DPS
We couldn’t make a best weapons list without talking about wonder weapons. TheDRI-11 Beamsmasheris arguably the weakest wonder weapon of the bunch, but that’s mostly due to its low ammo capacity. As an actual weapon, it’s nothing short of S-tier. The alt-fire slows targets and greatly increases the precision damage they receive. Once debuffed, hold the trigger to fire a concentrated beam of energy.
This gun burns through ammo like nobody’s business, but the alt-fire’s slowing property makes it absurdly good for crowd control alone. The laser itself isn’t particularly strong when compared to the game’s stronger weapons, but it’s serviceable for earlier rounds and against debuffed targets.
Strong jack of all trades
Black Ops 6 has one of the stronger variants of the original Ray Gun, an innocent-looking wonder weapon that fires explosive rays with each shot. It deals immense damage and covers a small AoE with each shot, making it perfect for clearing crowds and killing tougher foes alike. The Ray Gun has so much base damage that it easily scales into the high 30s and low 40s without much issue.
In the event the gun stops pumping out damage, it’s excellent for making crawlers and stripping enemy armor.
Fires explosive rounds that cover a massive radius
Strongest non-wonder weapon in the game
If you’ve ever used the Anti-Material Rifle in Fallout: New Vegas and equipped explosive rounds, that’s effective what the LR 7.62 turns into when upgraded. This bolt-action sniper deals immense damage on its own, but once Pack-A-Punched, each shot detonates in a massive explosion that’s only matched by dedicated launchers.
A single bullet is all it takes to clear an entire pack of zombies. If you need to kill a Mauler, simply ADS and aim for the head. Throw on PhD to use this weapon up close, and you have an absurdly strong weapon for virtually all situations. And unlike the GS45, this weapon is far more ammo efficient.
Infinite ammo, absurdly powerful alt-fire
You’re unlikely to find a stronger weapon than the Jet Gun in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Treyarch has merged the Black Ops 2 Jet Gun with the original Thunder Gun in this installment, creating an absurdly strong, screen-clearing weapon that has infinte ammo.
The primary fire for this weapon sucks in zombies toward you, turning them into mince meat if they hit the Jet Gun. When you’re getting swarmed, hold the aim input to perform an AoE explosion that’s effectively a screen wipe. Zombies up to round 40 instantly die to this, and it doesn’t break. Holster it, wait a few seconds, then repeat. Nothing comes remotely close to this weapon’s power.
