Similar toLollipop Chainsaw RePop’s achievement list, Capcom turned down the difficulty here in comparison to the originalDead Rising. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster’s achievement list has many changes, with some achievements being removed while others having easier requirements.

The revamped save system helps a lot here, especially the auto-saves. It’s still tough for a newcomer, and there’s one particular achievement that’s both easier and much harder than the original. If you’re a veteran returning, that achievement difficulty change will be a rude awakening and a shocking surprise.

Defeat at least 53,594 zombies.

If you’re an achievement/trophy hunter, you’ll want to get theZombie Annihilator achievement as soon as possible. Getting it this early will make all the other achievements far easier. To kill 53,594 zombies, you’ll want to grind zombie kills in the maintenance tunnels using vehicles. The best spot for this is in the top left section, where there are a ton of zombies.

You’ll want to drive the red car into the tunnels, grind that spot for two runs back and forth, then head far east and get into the white car. Then, grind the spot with that vehicle, and afterward, use the truck located in the same spot to grind until you head outside to do it all over again. It takes a long time, but you will get the Real Mega Buster, the second-best weapon in the game.

Encounter zombie Brad.

There area couple of missable story achievementsin Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and the first one is Snuff Shot B. After disposing of all the bombs in Case 7-2, you’ll see a cutscene of Brad getting shot by Carlito and being surrounded by zombies.

After this plays, go back inside the maintenance tunnels and head to the area where the maintenance tunnel key is located. You’ll find Brad on the verge of death, eventually turning into a zombie, and you’ll get the Snuff Shot B achievement right after the cutscene. Most won’t even think about going back inside the tunnels, so a lot of people will miss this.

Encounter zombie Jessie.

This one’s more likely to come across naturally, but many will still miss it. After completing The Facts, book it straight for the security room. You’ll see a number of cutscenes involving Jessie, with her eventually becoming a zombie. Once you arrive in the security room, zombie Jessie should pop out from a door in the main monitor area.

Many will get this naturally, as after completing The Facts, all you need to do in 72-hour mode is to wait for the helicopter to pick you up. Why not just head straight to there? However, many will also stay at Carlito’s hideout, which is safer at this point in the game; plus, you need to stay there to get Ending A.

Collect all portraits in the Notebook.

Collecting all the character portraits is something you’ll do during your all survivors and psychopaths playthrough needed for other achievements. The problem with Full Set, though, is that it doesn’t unlock when you actually collect all the portraits.

In order for the achievement to actually pop, you must go inside the menus and head to the Notebook section. Then the achievement will pop, which is a bit weird, but once you know that, you should be all good.

Defeat at least 30 special forces barehanded.

In the original Dead Rising, Karate Champ forced you to kill 1,000 zombies barehanded. That already took a long time, and while Deluxe Remaster shortened the time required for this achievement, Capcom made it significantly harder.

Instead of killing 1,000 zombies, you must kill 30 special forces members, which are far deadlier enemies. Karate Champ is one achievement you’ll want to use the autosave function for because the special forces can kill you so fast, and they take even longer to dispatch due to killing them barehanded.

Get at least 50 survivors out of the mall.

After getting the Real Mega Buster, you’ll want to do a perfect run, killing all psychopaths and rescuing all the survivors for maximum achievement optimization. You’ll get all the story-related achievements, the achievement for killing ten psychopaths, and the Saint achievement. Now, this may appear simple, as escorting survivors is way easier than the original.

Besides the cultists with dynamite in hand, escorting survivors is a breeze. The problem is with unannounced scoops, meaning you’ll still needto use a guide to find the survivorsOtis doesn’t call you about. Like the original, you’ll get the Saint achievement after beating Overtime mode as Frank and Isabela will add to that 49 number, so you’ll have 51 in total.

Create all types of mixed juice.

One of the most underutilized systems in Dead Rising for many players has to be the mixed juices. Not only do they refill a whopping six blocks of health, but their effects are mostly incredible. With seven total, the reason why perhaps the mechanic doesn’t see a lot of use is that you must know how to make each one.

The game doesn’t give this information out for free, so you must experiment, or the more likely option is to look up a guide.Using a guideshould allow you to get this achievement rather quickly.

Photograph all PP Stickers.

If there’s one hassle in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster that did not exist in the original, it’s the PP Stickers. All 100 are in the same locations, but getting them to trigger on your camera can be a Herculean task. The Space Rider in Wonderland Plaza and the Clock Tower in Leisure Park are two notable areas that have this problem.

You have to be at just the right distance away for the PP marker on your camera to actually show up. It’s quite frustrating, but at least all the locations are shown in the menu. It’s also worth noting that you must be captured by the cultists to find certain PP Stickers, which some might not know about.

Simultaneously escort 8 female survivors.

The Grateful Eight is easier than the original game’s Frank The Pimp achievement, but not by much. What makes both achievements annoying is that you can’t grab them if you’re doing the perfect run, as the routing doesn’t really allow for it. You must grab it on a separate playthrough, which is a bummer.

To obtain this achievement, you can do the same old strategy of rescuing the sisters in Paradise Plaza, rescuing all the women in Wonderland during the Above The Law scoop, and ending with the female person kidnapped by the cultists. However, there are routes that are quicker due to the time skip mechanic, so it may be worth doing those to make the platinum journey go by faster.

Survive for at least 7 days.

By far, the achievement with the largest difficulty change has to be 7 Day Survivor. The most infamous achievement in the original required you to play for 14 hours straight. That point is gone from the Deluxe Remaster due to the time skip feature, so you’re able to reach seven days in about three and a half hours this time. However, Capcom massively buffed the core difficulty here.

After day three, cultists and, eventually, special forces members will appear in the mall. This changes everything, as the special forces members are so deadly that they force youto traverse safer routes to obtain your food. A great safe spot is the restroom in the movie theater, where you can safely head to Leisure Park. One nasty group of special forces could end your Infinity mode run, so be careful.
