When making a remaster of a game that has already received an achievement list, there are three real paths to go down. you’re able to make the achievement list the same, make it harder (like the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection), or make it easier.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePopdoes the third option, streamlining the achievement list quite a bit. On the other hand, it’ll still take an annoying amount of playthroughs, making this not the easiest platinum journey out there. For most, you’ll have to go through three entire playthroughs: one on Easy, one on Hard, and do a run of Time Attack mode.

Completed the zombie album.
Two types of collectibles in this game require a playthrough on Hard difficulty. The first one is zombie types, which are highlighted by the beat-‘em-up style names above certain enemies. Some of these enemies are only found in replays of stages, while others are exclusive to Hard mode.
Thankfully, they’re not too difficult to dispatch, but you must keep an eye out to kill them all. When you finish Hard mode, you may notice you have one zombie type left. Don’t panic because that zombie is Jack, who is only found at the end of Time Attack mode. You’ll get this achievement during your Time Attack run.
Collected all lollipop wrappers.
The other main collectible is lollipop wrappers. These are special numbered lollipops that can be distinguished from regular ones by their golden wrapper. These can be fairly well-hidden, so you’re best off using a guide.
Once again, many are found only in Hard mode, but sadly, there is a possible bug in Stage 3. The last third of the stage, which starts with a Chainsaw Dash ramp, may not save any collectibles after beating it. This won’t occur for everyone, but if it happens to you, save Stage 3 for last to get the achievement.
15G/Bronze
Time Attack Cleared.
Unlike the original Lollipop Chainsaw, which had stage select for its Ranking mode, Time Attack mode in RePop forces you to speed through the entire game. In order to get the Time Attack Zombie Hunter achievement, you’ll have to do just that, and it’s quite a bit harder than it may seem.
Yes, it won’tbe the longest speedrun, but there’s one issue. If you die in a stage, you must restart the entire level. That’s a big issue in certain sections, like the Gondola part in Stage 4. It’s right at the end of the level, and one mistake can force you to replay 20-plus minutes to get back to it again. Speaking of that Gondola section.
Beat the Gondola game without shooting.
In order to get the No Fear of Heights achievement, you’ll have to beat the Gondola section without shooting, making this hard part even harder. Using bullets proves immensely helpful during the final three-lane stretch, where a lot of bombs are coming at you, and that option’s no longer available.
One hit, and you must start the entire section over again. It can be really frustrating. Over time, you’ll learn the safe spots and best paths to get to the top. One big tip is that if you’re right next to a window, and an enemy is throwing from said window on your left, always move right after he throws. If you wing it and go anyway, you might head face-first into a bomb and car.
Kissed Nick 100 times.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, thankfully, doesn’t have many grindy achievements except for one. That’s Love Nick, which has an odd-sounding description, but in reality, you simply have to use Nick Roulette 100 times.
Considering that ability is so limited, with only nine uses available at any given time, this will likely be one of your final achievements. You should get it by the time you’re doing your final playthrough, scooping up the final achievements you need. If you still don’t have it, Stage 5 is the best place to rack up numbers for the achievement.
10G/Bronze
Leapfrogged 10 times in a row.
While Leapfrog Girl isn’t necessarily difficult, as it shouldn’t take you any longer than five minutes, it’s still frustrating like no other. The controls just aren’t as responsive as you want them to be. You need to get the camera angle right and the flow down to consistently leapfrog over a zombie again and again.
So many times, you’ll press B or Circle, and Juliet will dodge instead of leapfrogging. You’re best off moving the analog stick toward the zombie and holding that for a short bit, then press B or Circle for the best odds of leapfrogging. Even then, it can mess up.
100G/Gold
Watched the happy ending.
There are two endings to Lollipop Chainsaw RePop. Getting the bad ending will net you 15 gamerscore or a bronze trophy, while the happy ending nets you a whopping 100 gamerscore or a gold trophy. To get the happy ending, you must rescue every classmate. You’ll probably get the bad ending first, as you’re likely to miss some, and saving the rest should be easy, in theory.
With the Extreme Chainsaw, zombies will target you instead of classmates, making most of them a breeze to save. The problem here is with another bug, as the number of rescued classmates can display wrongly in the menu, only showing certain levels. You’ll need a good memory here to remember which classmates you missed. If you don’t remember, you’ll just have to replay most levels again.
Description
Picked up all zombie medals on the rooftop with Chainsaw Dash.
By far,the hardest, most frustrating achievementin Lollipop Chainsaw RePop is Go, Medal Racer, Go! In two specific parts in Stage 2, you must collect every zombie medal using the Chainsaw Dash ability. You can’t collect them normally. The first part, early in the stage, is easy. It’s the second part that’s the problem.
At the tail end, you’ll face a branching path where you must go right and collect all the medals in such a tight space with a time limit. To boot, you must use the ramp at the exact right spot to collect all the medals in the air. If you miss just one, it’s time to restart checkpoint. You’ll play this second part so many times that it makes every failure enrage you more and more.
