Mimikyu is finding its place in thePokemon TCG, evolving to become more than just an angry Pikachu imitator. Now that Mimikyu has enjoyed time in the spotlight, including several appearances alongside Team Rocket’s Jesse and James in the anime, Mimikyu has cemented itself as more than just a fake Pikachu, boasting a terrifying backstory.

Mimikyu is the perfect contrast to Pokemon likeSylveon, which boast incredibly valuable cardssupported by their cuteness. Mimikyu’s value seems to hinge on the opposite: being incredibly terrifying and off-putting, but in an epic, menacing way akin to a villain from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
