Every character in the series is eligible to appear in anyPokemon TCGset, as Pokemon are not restricted to appearing in the generation they release. Noivern’s debut wasn’t full of fanfare or hype, but its cards have begun to attract attention. However, Pokemon like Noivern don’t usually stand out alone, as this Dragon-type bat was lucky enough to appear amongthe best cards in Evolving Skies.

While Noivern can’t hold a candle to valuable Dragon-type Pokemon like Dragonite, this Pokemon finally boasts a card with consistent demand and a relatively high price compared to its other cards. While Noivern hasn’t made a big enough splash to earn a spot amongthe most valuable cards in the Scarlet & Violet era,it still has time to make a mark.

Cards are ordered according to theirTCGPlayerMarket Price, which you might pay on average for a copy of the cards below.

Only cards with anestablished market price on TCGplayerare included.

However, sale prices differ depending on the card’s condition,so this market price is just a rough idea of the card’s value.

5Noivern V: Evolving Skies (Full Art) – $2.50

A Bright Beginning

The first card to set a line in the sand among the most valuable Noivern cards is an excellent depiction of this Pokemon from the famous Evolving Skies. Strangely, this color palette might be the most visually appealing, especially when combined with the immaculate, simple background design.

As the undisputedmost valuable Sword & Shield era set, Evolving Skiesboasts a collection of beloved Eeveelutions and Dragon-type Pokemon like Noivern to collect.

The Noivern GX Burning Shadows Full Art from the Pokemon TCG.

You can find this card relatively cheaply in any condition, though primarily near-mint(NM)cards are listed for sale on TCGplayer given the set’s relatively recent release date. One copy climbed as high as $4.27, but most NM sales hover around the $2.20 range.

4Noivern GX: Burning Shadows (Full Art) – $3.14

A Plethora Of Putrid, Pale Colors

Let’s get straight to the point:these dull, sickly colors combine to give this card one of the most repulsive tonesof any card in the TCG. However, Noivern isn’t entirely to blame, as the background doesn’t do its purple and teal palette any favors.

While it seemed set to fail, this Noivern remains relatively valuable.

The Noivern GX Burning Shadows Secret Rare from the Pokemon TCG.

This Noivern has experienceda severe drop-off in value after peaking close to the $4.50mark before it fell off a cliff. Once its value fell to three dollars, this card maintained sales around that plateau for NM copies. However, lightly played(LP)is only slightly cheaper at $2.29, with moderately played(MP)cards selling for almost the same amount.

3Noivern GX: Burning Shadows (Secret Rare) – $8.18

A Clash Of Colors

Noivern’s next crack at Burning Shadows presents this Pokemon with a much cleaner design, despite the unusual rainbow color palette. While it merely mimicsthe most valuable cards in Burning Shadows, the Rainbow Secret Rare design is a huge upgrade from the full art’s horrible background color.

This card’s value jumps around without strict adherence to a range, ascards listed in worse conditionhave outsold those listed as cleaner. One example isan LP selling for $8.49 soon after an NM sale at $7.52,illustrating the importance of inspecting a card for yourself, as these listings could have been mislabeled by the sellers.

2Noivern GX: Hidden Fates Shiny Vault (Shiny Holo Rare) – $8.81

A Sickly Glimmering Bat

Shiny Noivern steals the show, as the return of the pale green color palette is much better received when it’s on Noivern rather than serving as the background. The glimmering shiny sparkles serve as excellent accents to this card’s simple, clean design.

This version of Noivern surpasses the original’s color palette, as the combination of dark red and green offers a cleaner combination than the other colors.

The Noivern V Evolving Skies Alternate Full Art from the Pokemon TCG.

Unfortunately, this Noivern has seen better days, with previous highs around $12, contrasting with its current price of just under nine dollars.NM sales range from as low as $5.98 to as high as $9.99,creating uncertainty about this card’s future price. The recent sale of $7.79 lends credibility to the possibility of this card continuing its slide.

Flying Through The Roof

Evolving Skies is packed with some ofthe most expensive cards from the Sword & Shield era, though Noivern didn’t qualify for the top spots among the generation’s elite. However, Evolving Skies granted Noivern its first chase card, with this gorgeous alternate art offering an awesome action shot of this Pokemon unlike any seen prior.

This city scene literally puts a spotlight on Noivern, as the light amplifies the stunning details on this card.

While Noivern lost footing at its former high of $28, falling as low as $24, Evolving Skies' boom in value ushered this card’s value into the 30s, as more copies were scooped up as missing pieces for master sets. With recent sales exceeding the current market price, thisNoivern seems primed to continue its run to $40,though Evolving Skies may need to keep increasing in value for it to get there.
