While Solgaleo’s relatively shortPokemon TCGcareer leaves it with a smaller roster of cards than Pokemon that debuted inone of the best vintage sets,it still flaunts a few beauties. Solgaleo’s introduction in Alola allowed it to feature acrossthe best sets from the Sun & Moon era, boasting a blend of beautiful cards among its best.

However, despite its status as one of the featured Legendary Pokemon in the generation, Solgaleo still needs some help from its friends to bolster its TCG values. Lillie and Lunala appear alongside Solgaleo on some of its most valuable cards; however, this Steel-type Legendary Pokemon stands alone on most of its expensive offerings.

However, sale prices differ depending on the card’s condition,so this market price is just a rough idea of the card’s value.

6Solgaleo (Stamped): Cosmic Eclipse (Promo) – $9.99

The First Of A Pair

Solgaleo’s first entry kicks things off with a Cosmic Eclipse stamped promo that features a flame-filled portrait of Solgaleo, as the Legendary Pokemon dances within a wall of flames.

This stamped promo celebrates the Cosmic Eclipse set, though it did not appear in packs with the stamp, instead appearing only in specially marked products, like three-pack blisters.

Near-mint(NM)copies of this card have been falling, as they once firmly held their value in the region of $20. However, while it’s not impossible to see this card sell for around that amount, two NM sales at $29.95 and $9.99leave ample doubt about this card’s future and its real value.

5Solgaleo GX: Sun & Moon Base (Secret Rare) – $10.41

A Rainbow That Works

This simple depiction of Solgaleo celebrates this Legendary Pokemon in all its glory with a Rainbow Secret Rare recolor, a hallmark of the era. While the design divides opinions, this version is a positive example of Rainbow Secret Rare’s potential, asSolgaleo’s simple color palette provides the perfect canvas.

Unsurprisingly, this Solgaleo is also dropping in value, withNMcopies dipping from over$15 to below the $11 mark across a handful of sales. While moderately played (MP) cards offer a nice discount at six dollars, they may continue to lose their value given thatnearly perfect copies are sinking toward the single digits.

4Solgaleo: League & Championship Cards (Holo Rare) – $19.99

So Nice They Printed It Twice

Don’t worry, you’re not seeing double, as this Solgaleo boasts a special distinction that separates it from the Cosmic Eclipse-stamped version that started things off. Take note of the PLAY! Pokemon symbol on the bottom left of the card art.

Unfortunately, this version is equally disappointing in its data points, as there’s a single sale in lightly played(LP)condition to set the benchmark.

The Solgaleo & Lunala GX Cosmic Eclipse Secret Rare from the Pokemon TCG.

While the rarity of this card makes it difficult to determine if its market price is fair or where the value may go from here, this card is likely to become even harder to find over time, eventually leading to a rise in value.

3Solgaleo GX: Ultra Prism (Secret Rare) – $41.43

Lacking Sufficient Contrast

Solgaleo soars to new heights with this gorgeous gold entry – one ofthe most valuable cards in Sun & Moon’s Ultra Prism. While you may love or hate the design, there’s no denying the sharp jump in price that this card commands.

While Rainbow Secret Rares are often a matter of taste, the all-gold Secret Rares seldom look even half as good as the Pokemon’s original design, as the lack of contrasting colors and surfaces leaves this card feeling unsatisfying.

The Solgaleo & Lunala Cosmic Eclipse Full Art from the Pokemon TCG.

You can pick up a moderately played copy(MP)for about $26, while LP cards jump up to $40, followed lastly by NM copies, which hover closer to $45, though they can sell for as much as $48.

2Solgaleo & Lunala GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Secret Rare) – $61.15

A Busy Rainbow Recolor

Solgaleo welcomes a little help from its friends with this Rainbow Secret Rare, which claims one of the top spots amongthe valuable cards in Cosmic Eclipse. While the rainbow color palette distracts from these complex designs, they don’t get nearly as lost as some others do.

Solgaleo is joined by fellow Legendary Pokemon, Lunala, along with Lillie, who is the canonical owner of Cosmog, the pre-evolved form of both Lunala and Solgaleo.

This card crumbled to $54 after hitting a high of $62 but is trending back toward its former high with an impressive resurgence in value thatbrought this card from $55 to $60 within a month.NM copies typically sell for $60 or so, while LP copies will cost closer to $40.

1Solgaleo & Lunala GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Full Art) – $130.36

Excelling In Living Color

This popular Alolan trio returns, with a gorgeous artwork deserving of being calledone of the best in the Sun & Moon era, exemplifying the generation’s most stunning qualities in one artwork.

Lillie leads the way as Solgaleo falls in line with its trainer, offering instructions.

This card mimics its Rainbow Secret Rare’s upward trajectory, continuing to climb back toward the $130 plateau. This card oncesurged as high as $152 before it sank back toward $100,but with support gathering, it’s continuing to soar past its former starting point back toward its high.
