There are discarded items on the ground just ready for you to make use of them. That’s the whole premise of the Dowsing Machine in the Pokemon games. This handy Key Item got a printing in the Pokemon TCG Plasma Storm set and lets you take any Trainer card from your discard pile and add it back to your hand.
The only downside to this effect is that you need to discard two cards to use it, but it’s worth it just to get value from your discard pile. Because this is an Item and not a Supporter, it does not use up your one Supporter use in the turn.
7Neo Upper Energy Prize Pack $15.47

Neo Upper Energy made its debut in thePokemon TCG’s Temporal Forces set. However, while that card may not be worth as much, the printing you may find in the prize packs is worth much more. Once again, this card has the Pokemon League logo on the card art, and the limited chances to actually pull it help it gain value.
Neo Upper Energy may not do much for Basic Pokemon, but it does give multiple Energy to Stage 2 Pokemon. It provides any type of Energy but only two at a time. So, say your Move needs one Fire and one grass energy, then this card will do the trick.

A Classic Rendition
The original version of Scoop Up Cyclone can be found inthe Plasma Blast set of the Pokemon TCG. Because of this, the card is much harder to find due to its age and those kept in good condition will fetch the full price.
This card features a different art than the more modern version and even has a classic metallic card body. This card is essentially a better version of Penny since it can scoop up any Pokemon rather than just Basic ones. You also get all the cards you attached to them back to your hand, which is good for tactical plays and recycling resources.

Heroes Cape gives you an extra 100 HP to work with. This card can make your Charizard EX into a 430HP card. This printing is valuable because it can only be found in the prize packs. So, if you want these cards you had better cough up the dough or go compete.

Fetching Pokemon is one of the best ways to get your plays started. Sometimes you need a specific Pokemon on your Bench, while other times you want to find an Evolution card to combo with your Rare Candy. Master Ball lets you fetch any Pokemon you need without the cost of discarding cards.
Originally printed in the Plasma Blast set of the Pokemon TCG, this card could increase the consistency of your deck so you can get everything where you need it to be. The older design is also another reason that the card costs as much as it does. When in doubt, Master Ball will bail you out.

One Of The Best Competitive Ace Specs
Prime Catcher is one of the most sought-after Ace Spec cards first seen in Temporal Forces. This card is fantastic for dragging out your opponent’s weaker Pokemon and getting out one of your stronger Pokemon for a quick knockout. Any card that can allow you to personally switch around your opponent’s Pokemon is always a plus.
Unlike other expensive cards across multiple TCG, Prime Catcher is not as expensive as it seems. For starters, you only really need one copy since the Ace Spec rules dictate that only one can be used per deck. In addition to this, the card is reprinted in the Charizard EX deck, which makes it more accessible to newcomers at a much more affordable price.

Many cards let you search for other cards in your deck at the cost of discarding others from your hand. Computer Search is an Ace Spec that lets you discard two cards to search for anything in your deck. This can be a Pokemon, an Item, a Supporter, you name it.

This printing of the card may not have a modern update yet, but the classic printing goes for an even better price than some of the other promotional ones. Prime Catcher is the most valuable Ace Spec card in the Pokemon TCG and for a good reason. However, this specific printing of the card is a bit rarer due to how you can obtain it. This card is only available as part of the prize packs. So you will need to compete and pull it from a very limited pack.
The main difference from the card art is the addition of the Pokemon League symbol within the box. So, unlike the version available in the Charizard EX deck or the normal packs, the extra symbol adds value to one of the best meta cards.
