A Prized Banette

Prize Card Packs contain plenty of cards that have the special Pokemon League symbol somewhere on the card art. This usually gives those cards a nice little rarity bump, since fewer are printed. It also looks gorgeous with the added sparkles and holographic foiling.

Banette EX was originally printed in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet base set. It has two Moves. Everlasting Darkness does 30 damage and shuts down your opponent from using Item cards. Meanwhile, Poltergeist lets you look at your opponent’s hand and deal 60 damage for each Trainer card you find. The Move is not only powerful but tactical as well.

This Banette has two Moves and each one feels almost as petty as the last. Don’t make Banette angry, or it will use Grudge. It does 20 base damage with an additional ten for each Prize Card your opponent has taken. Bench Manipulation uses your opponent’s Bench against them by flipping a coin for each Pokemon they have. Then it deals 40 damage times the number of tails.

Banette GX can be found in thePokemon Sun and Moon Celestial Storm set. These powerful Pokemon often have multiple different rarities that elevate them in price, and the cheapest of the few that still makes it to the top rankings is the full art printing.

This card has a special texture that feels rough to the touch and adds an extra layer of quality to it. Its Ability, Shady Move, lets you move Damage Counters around. Shadow Chant lets you tap into the Supporter cards in your discard pile in order to boost its attack. Tomb Hunt GX also allows you to fetch three cards from your discard pile back into your hand.

The love for Shiny Pokemon will never cease. Players will constantly hunt for them in the wild or attempt to breed the perfect IV Pokemon just to flex at competitions. Shiny Pokemon have been around since the second generation and in the Pokemon TCG, they get special treatment.

This usually means having premium printings in select sets of the card game. This Banette GX is part of theHidden Fate set’s Shiny Vault. It has all the same moves and Abilities as the regular Banette but features a shiny version of the Pokemon as well as a pure white background to make it stand out more in the forefront.

If you love holographic Pokemon cards, then Banette has plenty of those nostalgic bubbles all over the box. This Banette was originally part of the Hidden Legends set and is one of the rare cards that can be pulled.

This is where Banette starts going up in price. It has two Moves. The first is Shadow Steal, which does ten damage and an additional 20 for each Special Energy in your opponent’s discard pile. Darkness Chant would be so much better if it had no cap, but it does a max of 60 damage with one damage counter per Basic or Evolution Pokemon in your discard pile.
