Dirty Tactics
If you love the villains of the Pokemon franchise or just love causing trouble, then you’ll find a perfect card for you in the Fates Collide set. This is the full art printing of Team Rocket’s Handiwork. This card features three Team Rocket Grunts forming their signature R logo with their bodies.
This card also has a pretty dastardly effect. It requires you to flip two coins and for each time it lands on heads, you can discard the top two cards of your opponent’s deck. Now that’s one way of stealing your opponent’s Pokemon. So prepare for trouble and make it double.
7Alakazam Ex Full Art $8.36
The Master Of Psychics
This full art printing of Alakazam EX is unique for a variety of reasons. For starters, it has golden yellow lines that run across Alakazam’s silhouette. It also has a very nice textured surface that makes it feel special. The card has a unique Ability that synergizes with Mega Evolution.
Kinesis allows you to dish out damage counters when you Evolve Alakazam EX into M Alakazam EX. While Mega Evolution is a mechanic that ends your turn as soon as you use it, this Ability is a way to at least dish out some damage despite forfeiting your attack for the turn. This is great for the time.
6M Altaria Ex Full Art $10.80
Unique In So Many Ways
M Altaria EX has many little traits that make is special. For starters, as a Mega Evolution card, it has a more dynamic presentation than many other EX Pokemon. As a full art, this also means that it has a special texture and a slightly different card art. You will also notice the iconic Japanese letterings that sprawl across the design.
M Altaria EX isa gorgeous cardand its typing is even more rare. Fairy-type existed from the XY era of the game till the Sun and Moon era. While this typing would eventually be retired, there were many Pokemon that existed under this branch of Energy that would later be divided into other Energy types.
5Glaceon Ex Full Art $12.02
An Underrated Eeveelution
Glaceon may bean underrated Eeveelutioncompared to its other elemental siblings, but Glaceon gets some love in the Pokemon TCG. The Fates Collide rendition of Glaceon EX is a pretty cool Pokemon. In fact, quite chilling to be honest.
Like other full art cards, the lines are dipped in yellow while the card itself has the textures. The background behind Glaceon is meant to depict the chilling winds from the environment in which it thrives. Second Bite is great for ramping up damage depending on how many Damage Counters your opponent’s Pokemon has, and it can even protect itself by using Crystal Ray.

A Nighttime Beauty
All the valuable Umbreonshave some of the most majestic card art ever printed. This is because the Dark-type cards already have that sleek black card design and Umbreon’s design is already that perfect blend of black and yellow. In addition to these elements that help the card stand out, the printing from the Fates Collide set has a stream of wispy lights that flow all across the design.
It also has a decent Move pool. Veil of Darkness does 20 damage and lets you discard as many cards as you want to draw as many cards as you want. Then Endgame could potentially win you four Prize Cards in one hit if you knock out a Mega Evolution Pokemon.
3M Alakazam Ex Full Art $22.83
Opening Your Inner Eye
M Alakazam EX has a full art that you’re going to want to own if you love Psychic Pokemon. Everything is perfectly symmetrical, from Alakazam’s meditative stance to the spoons that circle the Pokemon in the art. Even the Japanese text revolves neatly around this Pokemon.
This card can be used to evolve an Alakazam EX. It also has one Move that synergizes with the previous stage’s Ability. Zen Force does a base damage of ten. However, if your opponent’s Active Pokemon has any Damage Counters, then Zen Force gains an additional 30 damage for each one. This will add up tremendously with each hit.

A Gathering Of Pokemon
Every set of the Pokemon TCG has a few cards that are kept out of the normal list. These cards are few but make up some of the most elusive printings in the set. Alakazam EX is one of these cards that gets a secret rare printing. It comes complete with a golden border as well as an alternative card art.
This Alakazam has all the same Moves and Abilities as its other printings, but it has a unique card art that features Alakazam falling through the night sky. It is not the only Pokemon depicted in this art. Umbreon and Lugia also share the spotlight as they prepare to team up on your opponent.

A Menacing Vibe
While the value of cards in Fates Collide never gets out of hand compared to some ofthe most expensive sets, it can still offer some moderately good hits. The most valuable card in this set is Umbreon EX. This full art printing mixes in a little bit of red with Umbreon’s usual card design.
This red background highlights the fact that there is a dark energy coming from Umbreon’s head and expression. It gives the impression that you are disturbing it by pulling it out of the dark confines of an unopened pack. Perhaps this is one printing that is best left in your collector’s binder, safe from the elements and preserved for the future.
