7Garchomp C Lv. X $35.39
The Power Of Cynthia’s Pokemon
Some Pokemon can break beyond their normal Evolution lines into even more powerful cards. These aren’t Mega Evolutions, but do have a similar function in the Pokemon TCG. Garchomp Lv. X from the Supreme Victors set has plenty of little badges and stamps to make it worth collecting.
It has an SP logo on the left corner of the card art and the Sinnoh Champion Cynthia, stamped on the right corner. The Poke Power, Healing Breath, heals all your Pokemon SP simply by playing it on top of your normal Garchomp C. Dragon Rush does 80 damage for three Energy to any one of your opponent’s Pokemon whether Active or Benched.
6Garchomp C (League Promo) $42.57
Pokemon League Rewards
The League Promo Garchomp C is a special printing of the card associated with the official Pokemon TCG League. It’s a very pretty card to have in your hands which is great since some of the most expensive cards in the game get their value from their aesthetics. This also lets it hold up once it leaves rotation.
This Garchomp is a Basic Pokemon, so there is no need to evolve it. It’s alsoa Dragon-type Pokemonthat is printed as a Colorless making it easy to slide into any deck of the time. Claw Swipe does 30 damage and Earthquake hits your opponent for 50 at the cost of having all your Benched Pokemon take ten points of damage.
5M Garchomp EX $46.36
Mega Pokemon Are Always Valuable
The Mega Pokemon are some ofthe prettiest cards that the Pokemon TCG ever printed. Not only do these special Evolutions have fantastic and powerful art renditions of your favorites, but the Japanese lettering on the design is a nice touch.
Mega Evolutions end the turn for the player when they get played, but it’s often worth it just to get out such a Powerful Pokemon. For four Energy cards consisting of Fighting and Water, Crimson Edge does 180 damage. However, it also does ten damage to itself for each Damage Counter already on Garchomp. So it’s a risky play for a massive hit.
4Garchomp and Giratina GX Rainbow $46.85
A Rainbow Tag Team
Garchomp and Giratina are some ofthe coolest Pokemon to form a Tag Team. So having them both together is fantastic. It’s a mix of Ghosts and Ground, but in the TCG, this would be Psychic and Fighting.
Rainbow art is a special rarity found for select cards in each set. They usually trade in the unique color patterns for something that looks even better while heightening their sense of rarity. The cards themselves come packed with powerful Moves and Abilities that represent a combined effort from both Pokemon on the art. GG’S End GX is a monstrous move that can even discard not one but two of your opponent’s best Pokemon.
3Garchomp LV.X Majestic Dawn $63.82
Garchomp Goes One Step Beyond
Garchomp LV.X is a very rare card from the Majestic Dawn set. It’s a Level X Pokemon, which means it goes on top of your normal Garchomp to give it a nice little power-up. The Poke Power, Dragon Pulse, lets you flip three coins when you play Garchomp LV. X. For each head, you’re able to place a Damage Counter on each of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon.
Restore is a move that is free to use. It lets you play any Pokemon except a LV.X and place it on the Bench as a Basic Pokemon. So even if it Evolves from something, you can skip all that and give it free Energy as well.
2Garchomp C League Promo Staff Card $140.00
A Card For The Staff
The Pokemon TCG has some rare and unique cards that you can’t just pull from packs. These cards might require you to be at the right place at the right time. This means climbing up the ranks to participate in larger tournaments or helping around as a member of the event’s staff.
Garchomp C has another special printing for the League and Championship cards. This one is expensive due to the Staff stamp just above the SP stamp on the bottom left of the card art. These cards are handed out only to Staff at the time, so if you want a chance to get modern Staff cards, then prepare to send a resume.
1Garchomp Plasma Freeze $160.00
The Most Valuable Garchomp Card
The rarest Garchomp Card is surprisingly not a full art or even an illustration rare card. This Garchomp is not only the most expensive version of its species but also one of the most expensive cards in the Plasma Freeze set.
For one Energy, Mach Cut does 60 damage and can discard a Special Energy attached to the Defending Pokemon. Like most Dragon-type Pokemon, there is no dedicated Dragon Energy and instead, Garchomp uses Water and Fighting. For one of each, you may use Dragonblade which does 100 damage and discards two cards from the top of your own deck.
