Staff cards are special since you can’t get them from regular packs or even from attending the event. To get your hands on these without buying them as a single, you would need to be working for one of the prerelease events.

Full Art Wonder
The Primal versions of both Kyogre and Groudon are a sight to behold and in the TCG, Primal Kyogre gets a very beautiful full art. This card was released inthe Primal Clash set from the Pokemon X and Y era of the game.
This card depicts Primal Kyogre in all its glory with the same Mega Evolution format that was used for other Megas in the TCG. It has Japanese lettering as well as a special card art effect that splashes the border with purple markings.

Primal Kyogre EX has another printing inthe Ancient Origins set. This one depicts a shiny full art of Primal Kyogre. It also has the same Move set as the other printing with Tidal Storm being capable of dealing 150 damage. This move also hits the Bench with 30 damage to each of your opponent’s EX Pokemon.
Shiny cards are always going to be valuable due to their colors and extra TCG flare. In addition to these extra details, rather than having purple bots across the card border, this printing has golden ones.

Pokemon that can flood the Benches with damaged counters are always a treat. These Pokemon can hit your opponent’s weakest cards before they can become a real threat by Evolving. Kyogre EX from the Dark Explorers set follows this trend that is normal for Kyogre.
Dual Splash hits two of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon for 50 damage each. So true to its art style of Kyogre surrounded by realistic waves, your opponent better hope their Pokemon have raincoats because they are in the splash zone.

Both of its Moves are devastating despite their costs. Mega Tital Wave lets you discard five cards from your opponent’s deck and deal 30 damage to each of their Benched Pokemon for each Energy you hit. Massive Eruption does the same, but in reverse, milling you and dealing 100 times the Energy hit.

Deep sea creatures always have a nasty vibe to them as they appear from the darkest depths of the ocean. Kyogre would indeed be terrifying to encounter in real life and Kyogre EX’s card art from Hidden Legends captures this feeling perfectly.
While the card’s borders may sparkle as brightly as the holo foiling on the card art, the Kyogre within the box swims in the darkest of waters. The shading in particular gives it a more menacing look. Hopefully, you do not have thalassophobia.

Once again, it always comes down to shiny Pokemon. None are rarer than shiny variants of the Legendary Pokemon. While many of these titans are shiny locked in the games, they are much easier to get your hands on in the TCG. However, it might cost you.

Possibly the most gorgeous version of Kyogre is also the most expensive. This is Team Aqua’s Kyogre EX, and it could originally be found in the Double Crisis set of the Pokemon TCG. This card has a full art that depicts the fully realized goals of Team Aqua.
The full art has the Team Aqua Admins along with their most Powerful Pokemon. These Pokemon are Sharpedo, Seviper, and Walrein. Together they swim with Kyogre as their dream of expanding the world’s Oceans finally takes form.
