8Guzzlord GX Jumbo Card $11.51
One Big Pokemon
Guzzlord is already a massive Ultra Beast. In the games, it is depicted as a massive behemoth that sucks up anything it gets its hands on. In the anime, it manages to send Alola into a post-apocalyptic state. So what if you made the Guzzlord card the same size as it is often depicted?
Guzzlord GX has an oversized card promo that was available in special Guzzlord GX boxes. These include a copy of a playable Guzzlord GX as well as a bigger copy for display purposes. As always, oversized cards should always be kept around, since their value can sometimes spike up even if they aren’t playable.
7Pheromosa And Buzzwole GX Rainbow $11.95
Elegance And Might
Beauty and Brawn form a powerful tag team duo with Pheromosa and Buzzwole GX. It gets even better if you have a rainbow rare printing of the card. Not only is it a valuable card to own, but also one that was incredibly useful during its time in the spotlight.
For one Energy, Jet Punch does 30 damage to one of your opponent’s Pokemon. This is a great Move since it lets you hit those defenseless Basic Pokemon on the Bench for free Prize cards. Elegant Sole costs three Energy and lets you do 190 damage. While this power does get nerfed down to 60 during your next turn, you can swap this card out to reset the counter instantly.
6Naganadel And Guzzlord GX Rainbow $12.21
Instant Healing
Another set of Ultra Beasts that team up for a valuable card are Naganadel And Guzzlord. Released inthe Cosmic Eclipse set, the two have a rainbow rare printing which is as beautiful as it is powerful.
Naganadel And Guzzlord GX’s Violent Appetite Ability, allows you to discard Pokemon from your hand to heal 60 damage from it. With a high HP, this tag team duo already has plenty of staying power, and with the ability, it has even more. Jet Pierce may not have any special after-effects, but it does a decent 180 damage which would surely knock out any weaker Pokemon that go up against it.
5Xurkitree Rainbow $12.31
A Strange Electric Tree
The Ultra Beasts come in many different forms. They often have odd shapes and movements, but none come close to Xurkitree which resembles a twisted tree surging with electricity. The rainbow art printing of this Ultra Beast is its most valuable form.
Like many other Ultra Beasts, this one has abilities that mess with your opponent’s strategies. Its Ability, Flashing Head, prevents it from being hit by Pokemon with Special Energy attached to it. Rumbling Wire does 100 damage and mills the top card of their deck. The most devastating Move is Lightning GX, which lets you look at your opponent’s hand and tuck away one of their cards into the Prize Pool.
4Pheromosa Prerelease Staff $12.85
Most Beautiful Staff Card
Prerelease cards often go up in price due to their special stamps. Staff cards go for even more since they were exclusive to those who worked at the event. One card that got such a printing is the Ultra Beast Pheromosa which comes complete with both prerelease and staff stampings.
This card was released during theForbidden Lightprerelease event. Its most notable trait is its second Move, which does 90 damage for three Energy, and does an additional 90 if you only have one Prize Card remaining. This is to get that one final kick to end the game.
3Blacephalon Prerelease Staff $15.99
Topsy Turvy Fun
Blacephalon is another strangely designed Ultra Beast. Released in the Cosmic Eclipse expansion of the Pokemon TCG, Blacephalon has the set name on the bottom right of the card art. It also has the staff stamp on the opposite end.
It has only one Move in the form of Fireworks Bomb. This Move costs two Energy and lets you put four damage counters on your opponent’s Pokemon in any way that you like. If your opponent has exactly three Prize Cards remaining, you can put a whopping 12 counters down. This makes it great for taking down your opponent’s Bench before they become too powerful.
2Pheromosa And Buzzwole GX Alt Alternate Art Unbroken Bonds $36.78
The Prizes Keep Coming
Pheromosa and Buzzwole GX also has an alternate art printing in the Unbroken Bonds set. It features Pheromosa elegantly sitting down while Buzzwole flexes its powerful muscles. This is the peak rarity of the card and an amazing flex when you want to knock out a Pokemon and take Prize Cards.
Its most powerful move is Beast Game X. It only costs one Energy to use, but if you can manage it, loading up this card with seven is ideal. The Move only does 50 damage. If you manage to knock out a Pokemon with this move, you can take an additional Prize Card. If you have seven, you can take a total of four Prize Cards in one hit.
1Naganadel And Guzzlord GX Alternate Art $52.03
The Most Valuable Ultra Beast
The most valuable Ultra Beast card in the Pokemon TCG is Naganadel and Guzzlord GX’s alternate art. This gorgeous card shows both Pokemon in combat even though they’re teaming up. It has all the same attacks as the less rare printings, including its powerful GX Move.
Chaotic Order lets you see all your Prize Cards for the rest of the game by flipping them up permanently. If this card has an additional Dark and Psychic Energy attached to it, you may immediately take two of your Prize Cards and add them to your hand. This is a card that was great back in the day, and as a collector’s item, still holds its value.
