The Plucky Squire’s arrival continued what has been a very busy month for highly-anticipated releases when it arrived earlier this week and while reactions to the game have been a little mixed,its review scores are strong.Devolver Digitalwill be hoping there are plenty of you out there who have fallen in love with its new game as only a few days on from its launch, The Plucky Squire has a range of official merch.
Pre-orders for The Plucky Squire’s merch are now open and the range includes two enamel pins, a t-shirt, and best of all a mug that has been made to look like something Jot can jump in and out of using one of Humgrump’s portals, switching the gameplay from 2D to 3D and vice versa. Everything in the Plucky Squire range is expected to ship in January 2025, ensuring the hype train for the game carries on into the start of next year at the very least.
The t-shirt is blue with the game’s hero Jot on the chest with Pip alongside him. Jot and Pip are the stars of the enamel pins too, although it doesn’t look like the mouse is included on the mug. Its design shows Jot on the moon, and since I’m yet to finish the game (I’m only up to chapter four) I’m unaware if a mug featuring 2D Jot on a trip to space is a spoiler or not.

Despite getting merch for an indie game to coincide with its release, The Plucky Squire’s fans have been asking Devolver if there are further plans to expand this range. Some are asking for a rug, which I’m assuming is another reference I’ve not been acquainted with yet, while others are hopeful we’ll see a Jot figure in the future. Far and away the most requested item is a Plucky Squire storybook. Whether it’s an adaptation of the game or a different tale starring Jot set in The Land Of Mojo, a book feels like a must.

The Plucky Squire’s first official t-shirt features the indie game’s hero Jot on its chest, brandishing his sword. Jot is on a sky blue background and the t-shirt is available in sizes ranging from XS to 3XL.
The Plucky Squire - Ceramic Mug
Devolver’s The Plucku Squire mug features Jot on the moon and has been designed to look like a mug you might find on Sam’s desk in the game. One Jot can jump in and out of provided there’s a Metamagic portal allowing him to do so.
Devolver was asked whether making merch for a video game is actually worth it in terms of money earned, and the studio was very honest in its answer. It confirmed the profit margins for merch are minimal, and that the Plucky Squire line is more about making something for the fans than it is making money. It also doesn’t hurt to get Jot’s face out there on people’s chests.
