The various forms of Majin Buu are some of the most memorable and dangerous characters in the Dragon Ball universe, withstanding the worst our fighters throw at them and regenerating the damage with little effort. Each version of Buu brings its own unique traits, from the chaotic evil of Kid Buu to the calculated strength of Super Buu.

InDragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the Buu characters stand out for their chaotic movesets and relentless fighting styles. But there is an order to their chaos, and some Buus don their signature pink style better than others, so which one reigns supreme?

7Majin Buu (Evil)

Dark, But Limited

Majin Buu (Evil) is the form of Buu that emerged after Majin Buu expelled all the evil from his body. While this version of Buu is faster and more aggressive, he doesn’t have the raw power or versatile moveset that some of his later forms possess.

What plays most against this form is how little it appeared in the show, to the point that it is a wonder that he even made it to the roster of Sparking Zero, to begin with (yes, he was already in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, but still). His evil only shines through a few of his ultimate attack animations, but beyond that, you’re not missing much by skipping this darker Buu.

6Super Buu

Powerful Yet Unrefined

Super Buu is the first step toward Buu’s more dangerous transformations. After absorbing Majin Buu (the good one), this version of Buu gains a massive power boost, becoming more dangerous and brutal in combat.

In Sparking Zero, Super Buu is a strong fighter with devastating melee attacks and energy blasts and can even regenerate the damage his opponent does, just like in the show. The rest of his abilities, however, are a bit lackluster, with a blast power that is easy to miss andan ultimate that deals damage to himself.

5Super Buu (Gotenks Absorbed)

Child’s Play

When Super Buu absorbs Gotenks, he becomes faster and more powerful, gaining access to Gotenks’ moveset, as well as the Special Beam Cannon from Piccolo (he also absorbed him in the show). He has a time limit in the show, since when the fusion runs out,he loses the might of Gotenks, but fortunately, you don’t have a time constraint when using him in Sparking Zero.

His skillset, however, is almost as lackluster as his previous form, although they are easier to connect on your opponent, and the ultimate attack isn’t a self-destruct. All in all, this is an alright character, but far from the best Buu can be.

4Majin Buu

Satan’s Best Friend

Majin Buu, the original form of Buu, is deceptively powerful despite his childlike appearance. In Sparking Zero, this version of Buu combines a strong moveset with a surprisingly high resilience, making him tough to take down.

His playful, erratic fighting style makes him an unpredictable opponent, and his healing abilities keep him in the fight longer than most. He’s far from the best Buu around, but this is such an iconic version of Buu that, with just a look, he’s capable of bringing a smile to many fans’ faces.

3Majuub

The GT Edition

Majuub, the fusion of Uub and Majin Buu, combines the power of Buu with the tactical mind of Uub. In Sparking Zero, Majuub offers a well-balanced moveset, with fast attacks and energy-based techniques that make him a versatile fighter, and a revised ultimate attack that went from being the worst of Budokai Tenkaichi 3 to a decent one in Sparking Zero.

Of course, he lacks the distinctive charm of a real Buu, but Majuub still has a few signature moves that make him part of the family. The one detail we wish was better is when he transforms from Uub to Majuub; he is supposed to fuse with Buu but power up as if he were turning Super Saiyan.

2Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed)

Brutal Power

After absorbing Gohan, Super Buu reaches a whole new level of power, and in Sparking Zero, this version of Buu has a devastating combination of speed, strength, and advanced techniques. His moveset incorporates Gohan’s power, allowing him to unleash high-damage energy blasts and deadly melee combos.

The best part is that he gets to use the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, Gotenks’ signature move, but he adds his own flare to the attack, making the summoned ghosts cast energy beams before exploding. It is sad that his Gotenks absorbed form can’t use the attack, but this is how it went down in the show, at least when he faced Vegito.

1Kid Buu

Chaos Incarnate

Taking the top spot is Kid Buu, the purest and most dangerous form of Majin Buu. In Sparking Zero, Kid Buu’s erratic, chaotic fighting style makes him a terrifying opponent, being fast, unpredictable, and capable of dealing massive damage with his relentless attacks.

His smaller size makes him harder to hit, and his moveset is built around overwhelming his opponents with speed and power. The one addition to his moveset that pushes him over the edge is Instant Transmission, letting him pursue enemies launched by his powerful combos so they don’t have time to rest.
