6Upgrade Weapons

The game offers you a wide variety of weapons to use, both melee and ranged. Each weapon has its own set of rarities and different subtypes that offer different appearances and statistics.

For example, melee weapons have three options for defense: fencing, balanced, and blocking, which all affect the parry time window, or can even take away parries altogether. Try experimenting with different weapon types and level them up!

5Level Classes

Space Marines 2 has six different classes to choose from, and all have their own perk trees and leveling process to go through to unlock them, as well as outfits for each one.

By playing a class in Operations or Eternal War, you’ll be able to level them up, thereby unlocking new perks, new customization options, and becoming more powerful and able to tackle the higher difficulties. Classes really come online once their perks unlock and start to add synergies, such as theSniper classbasically getting infinite cloaking ability once it is fully unlocked.

4Collect Dataslates

Both the campaign and the Operations missions contain two to three dataslates, which are voice recordings from different characters in the game scattered throughout the levels.

These dataslates work as fun collectibles to go after, as well as providing more lore and backstory for the game. Warhammer 40,000 is known for having a rich and fantastically written lore, so getting more of it in this game is always a treat.

3Try Out PvP

Space Marines 2 features a PvP mode calledEternal War. In Eternal War, it’s the might of the Imperium and its Adeptus Astartes versus the forces of Chaos and their Chaos Space Marines.

Not only does the mode provide some fun player versus player action, but if you are on the Chaos side, you get six new space marine models to choose from based on different heretic factions in the Warhammer universe. For example, the Assault class gets to be a Night Lord, sporting blue and purple colors and bat wings on their helmet.

2Grind Operations

The main thing to do once beating the game, unless you are just a massive fan of PvP and only PvP, is to grind the Operations mode. In Operations, you’ll choose from one of several missions to accomplish a task with a squad of online partners (or AI partners if the online ones disconnect).

These missions take place during the time period of the campaign, and let you see what the other marines were up to. This is the main way you will level your weapons, classes, unlock new gear, and find dataslates.

1Customize Your Astartes

Space Marines 2 offers a huge amount of customization for your mighty warriors. You can choose from many colors spanning across almost every chapter of the Space Marines, from the heroic Salamanders to the viking-like Space Wolves.

You’ll also unlock new outfit sets, with unique options in every class, and once unlocked, you can pick and choose individual parts to apply, which really allows you to add your own flavor to your Space Marine and make it your own.
