Summary

Throne and Libertyhas a wealth of content to its ever-changing open-world formula, from dynamic events, PvPvE, world bosses, open-world dungeons, and instanced dungeons. There is so much to do that it can be difficult to decide exactly what to do next, and that’s especially true for a solo player.

A solo player has a bit of a more complex path in an MMO that’s so Guild-focused. While you’re definitely going to be missing out on some things in Throne and Liberty by not being part of a Guild, you can still get to most of the content; just with a little bit more work.

10Have A Build That Can Self-Sustain

As a solo player, you aren’t usually going to have a Tank around that can take the aggro off of you, you aren’t usually going to have a Healer to keep you on your feet, and you aren’t going to have another Damager Dealer there to help you burn your enemies quicker.

This means your build is going tohave to do a little bit of everything. Some weapon combinations lend themselves to this a little better than others, and it’s certainly not a necessity to bring a weapon that can heal you, or restore some of your Mana. But if you don’t, you’re going to have to keep it in mind in some of the longer, or more challenging, fights.

9Buy One Million World Tree Leaves

You might not have the money for one million of these, but you very genuinelyshould be buying astronomical amounts of World Tree Leaves at a time. They aren’t too expensive, and they’re going to be amassive convenience to you, particularly as a solo player.

For builds that don’t have a high amount of health regen, it can take quite a while for your health to get back to a respectable level after certain difficult fights. If you’re in an area farming enemies or finishing a contract, these World Tree Leaves are going tohelp get you back into the action must faster, as opposed to standing around or having to find a campfire.

8Use Your Food Buffs

There isa lot of food to cook(or purchase in the Auction House) in Throne and Liberty, andall of that food is going to provide you with different buffs and benefits. It can take quite a while to get your Cooking level up, so cook what you can, whenever you can.

Particularly early on, fishing is going to help you cook more often, as well as sending Amitoi on expeditions for Salt. Keep in mind you can also sell Great Success food on the Auction House.

These food buffs last for quite a while, and can make a substantial difference in your potency. These dishes can increase your damage, your survivability, or even help you to earn more Sollant. No matter what, they’re helpful, easy to make, and any help is good when you’re playing solo.

7Fight The World Bosses

World Bosses are going to spawn on a schedule in Throne and Liberty; sometimes they’re going to create a PvE area, and some a PvPvE area. Those PvPvE areas might be a little more difficult as a solo, but whatever your preference, participating in these fights earns you a steady supply of loot.

While you might be generally playing solo, it is extremely easy and beneficial to simply jump into a party for the World Boss fight, and leave immediately afterwards. It’s expected by everybody there; people put their party in chat to join instantly, and it helps everybody to get better rewards, and survive easier.

6Do Your Mystic Portal Weeklies

In the Weekly Content section, there are four different tabs: World, Co-Op Dungeon, Guild, and PvP. The first section, World, contains things that can easily be done by a solo playerfor very little effort on a weekly basis.

These Mystic Portal/Acquire Globe weeklies are some of the most straightforward. The map contains these Mystic Portals and Globes all around that all contain some nice stuff, each requiring a Mystic Key to open, purchased from the Contract Coin Vendor. Open 25 of those in a week, and you’llearn a random purple piece of gear at the end of the week.

5Do Your Resistance Contract Weeklies

This Weekly is a little bit more involved, but you’re able to do it at the same time as you complete your Mystic Portal Weeklies, and it still isn’t too much effort. These Resistance Contracts are going to take you across the world, anddoing 50 of those in a week will reward you a purple gear drop.

These Resistance Contracts reward you with things on their own, as well, some of which isTraining Dew that you use to upgrade your Weapon Mastery. There are some extremely nice passive buffs in the Weapon Mastery Trees, so getting this Dew is wildly helpful.

4Do Your Dynamic Event Weeklies

The last of the World Weekliesis the Dynamic Events; these areopen-world events that happen at a regular click, and are very easy to meaningfully contribute to, whether you’re a solo or part of a group.

These can also be PvE or PvPvE, so make sure you’re aware of which it is when you head in and prepare accordingly. But for most of these, the more you contribute, the better the reward, and you do get a reward for contributing at all. Plus, you’ll get that purple gear at the start of the next week, too.

3Learn The Dungeons

If you want to experience the even more of what Throne and Liberty has to offer, you’re going to be looking to do the Dungeons. While you are not going to be able to get through these entirely solo, you can still do themas part of a match-made group and do perfectly finewithout having to do much socialization.

The biggest thing in this regard is going to be learning the Dungeons. Some groups would be fine to teach you the Dungeon while you’re in there, but if you’re playing solo for a reason, you probably don’t want to be chatting. There areplenty of Dungeon guides available, whether they’re written or video, andlearning the Dungeon beforehandmeans you’ll know the mechanics going in.

2Do Your Taedal’s Tower Contracts

There are vendors that sell Allied Resistance Force Contract Scrolls; some of these can be done solo, some are going to be a little more difficult, but sometimes you’ll get some for Taedal’s Tower. As a solo player, this is going to be perfect.

Taedal’s Tower is solo content, basically a boss for each level of the Tower. Some of these bosses are quite difficult, but you get rewards for defeating them. You can replay any floor once you’ve defeated it, and these Contracts take you to a specific floor and give you extra rewards for taking down that particular boss.

1Create Multiple Builds

The best advice for a solo player is to be flexible. If you’re in entirely solo content, you’re going to have to be able to watch your own back in either PvE or PvP. This might mean running a build that you wouldn’t necessarily run in a group, but can do all of the different things you might need to do. You’ll probably want to level up a couple of different builds, so you can easily swap to them when you need to.

If you’re looking to get into the harder content, you’ll probably be ending up in matchmaking groups; being flexible here is going to get you into that content quicker, and allow you to fit in however each unique group make-up needs. It’ll get you in and out quicker, and ensure that you don’t need to find a regular group if you don’t want to.
