The third episode ofAce Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambitis a very compelling one. Not only do you get so see what Edgeworth’s father was like in the past, before his untimely demise, but you get to see what makes newcomer to the series Eddie Fender the man he is today.
Not only that, but Turnabout Legacy has you solving an 18-year-old mystery that proved to be very important for multiple characters and their careers. Naturally, a mystery that remained unsolved for so long has some complexities, so we’re on-hand with a spoiler-free walkthrough right here to save the day.
Investigation: Contest Venue - Tangaroa’s Room
After the introduction, which has you taking a step into the past as Gregory Edgeworth and meeting the client of 18 years past, Samson Tangaroa, you’ll end up at theContest Venue- the location of the murder - and begin investigating.
Start by taking a look at thebig chocolate shipin the centre of the room andexamine the body outlineand thebroken standon the ground to the right. After the conversation that follows,examine the ship againand Deduce themissing part of chocolatenext to the outline’s head and present theCrime Scene Notesto point out a contradiction.
Now, it’s time to take a look at the rest of the room.Examine the tablewareon the counter to the right and thenspeak to the man in the top-right cornerof the room about everything. When taking a closer look at the framed cookbook,examine the finger markson the left and then theframeitself. When prompted to show which part of the frame is missing something, present themissing leafin the bottom-left corner.
To finish,talk to the officers crouched near the stream. With this done, you can start making deductions.

Cross-Examination: Why I Think Tangaroa Did It
Investigation: Contest Venue - Delicia’s Room
Begin this investigation byspeaking with Delicia Sconeover to the right about her two dialogue options, and then head up to the upper-left section of the room to examine this room’stemperature controls.
Next, examine the seated fairies towards the back of the room, and then the big castle. Examine the following:
Hexagonal indentations

Once the scene changes, examine theelf that has no clotharound it, and thenthe castleagain, taking extra notice of thebloody lamp. While you’re here,Deduce one of the lampsand present theContest Rulesto point out a contradiction. We can make more deductions now.

With these deductions made, you can now go totalk to Scone about the room’s temperature. This nabs you one last clue and allows you to make a final deduction.

There will be a considerable gap between this cross-examination, but you’ll be learning quite a lot about the poison gas as you progress.

Investigation: The Past
Before you get into investigations, you’ll need to figure out some puzzles:
After the break, you’ll be talking to Tangaroa at the Detention Centre. Boost his energy bypresenting him with the Chocolatesyou have, and thentalk to him about everything. After finishing the chat, you’ll head back to the mansion.
Investigation: Contest Venue - Fountain Room
Start this investigation bytalking to the officer who is examining the fountain. When prompted, assert that the blood in the water probably belongs toArtie Frost.
Afterwards, talk to Judy about every dialogue option. This will end the very quick investigation and lead right to another confrontation with von Karma.

When confronting von Karma, show where the blood went by presenting theVictim’s Blood. This will end this journey into the past.
Investigation: Zodiac Hall - Fountain Room
Before this investigation back in the present day starts up, you’ll be forced to make a guess at whose body was found in the fountain. PresentArtie Frost’s profile.
Once the investigation begins in earnest, start bytalking to the nearby officerandexamining the fountain. Then, examine thetea set and carton the left, taking a closer look at theteacups. Afterwards, examine thestain on the groundand gotalk to Larryon the right side of the screen.Present him with the Ceramic Fragmentto unlock his dialogue, and then talk to him about everything.
As the dialogue will hint at, it’s time now to head to thetea cartagain andDeduce the tablecloth, usingLarry’s Sketchesas evidence of a contradiction. After this, make a related deduction:

After making these connections andtalking with Gumshoe,chat to Judy, Delicia, and Eddieabout everything they have to say. While talking to Delicia, present her with theLuminous Clothto open up another dialogue option.
