Summary
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2is officially out on all platforms, with hundreds of thousands of peoplelaunching into some intense, bug-slaying mayhem on Steam alone. It’s proven to be a hit for developer Saber Interactiveandis going down a treat with fans of the series, as players squish enemies and share their Space Marine fits on social media.
It’s very possible to create a pretty cool looking suit of armor, with a nice range of cosmetic and customization options, but it seems as though quite a lot of players want a certain cosmetic item to complete their looks. If you head on over to the Space Marine 2 subreddit, you’ll be able to find a couple of posts from fansabsolutely chomping at the bits for Saber to add the “beaky helmet.”
If you’re sat there wondering exactly what a “beaky helmet” is, it’s essentially the helmet from the Mk6 and Mk7 Corvus Power Armor sets used by the Raven Guard. Like the name suggests, it sticks a beak on the end of your standard Space Marine helmet, giving it a very distinct look and icon status. It’s immensely popular among fans, and Space Marine 2 doesn’t seem to include the helmet at launch.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Fans Are Desperate For The Beaky Helmet
You can find several people posting about how much they absolutely need the beaky helmet on the Space Marine 2 subreddit, along with even more people in the replies to those posts. All of them are as enthusiastic as the last, such as user EquivalentAd7510, who pleads with Saber to “PLS ADD THE BEAKY.”
You also have user Tails-Are-For-Hugs who simply shouts “BEAK IS PEAK”, while user Saltsey just says “BEAK BEAK BEAK BEAK BEAK BEAK BEAK.” Now I don’t want to assume here, but I think quite a lot of people want the beaky helmet.
Some of the more serious replies speculate that the helmet will be added sooner rather than later, mainly because of how popular it is and the fact that it was included in the first Space Marine game. We know Space Marine 2 doesn’t do microtransactions, so it seems as though players will have to wait for some Raven Guard DLC. Let’s hope the more enthusiastic among the player base can wait for that long.
