Hour Glasses are a type of in-game currency that reduce different types of timers, allowing you to open packs and interact with the game more often. Of course, these aren’t unlimited, but we’ll give you the rundown on the best way to use Pack Hourglasses.

What Are Pack Hourglasses?

Pack Hourglasses areone of the many types of currencyin Pokemon TCG Pocket. These hourglasses allow you toreduce the time remaining on your free booster cooldown.

Youreceive free boosters at a rate of one every 12 hours, and can only hold two, so it’s important to open your packs as soon as possible to avoid pausing your timer. You can reduce the wait until your next booster by an hour by using a Pack Hourglass.

The other way to reduce the cooldown and open packs faster is by using Poke Gold, which you can purchase in the in-game store. EachPoke Gold reduces the timer by two hours.

How To Get Pack Hourglasses

There’s no limit to how many Pack Hourglasses you can use in a day, but you can onlyearn Pack Hourglasses by completing missions and leveling up.

You can earn a lot of Pack Hourglasses early by completing the Beginner and Advanced Missions.Completing the Beginner Missions list rewards you with 120 Pack Hourglasses, enough to open ten packs at a time, and finishing nine of the Advanced Missions yields the same reward.

When Should You Redeem Pack Hourglasses?

As a rule, you should onlyredeem Pack Hourglasses when doing so will earn you an immediate pack. If you reduce the timer by two hours and then fall asleep or forget to check when your booster is available, you may end up with the timer paused until you open your packs.

The only reason to hoard Pack Hourglasses past the 120 to earn a bonus pack is if you’ve already gotten every card you want from all the sets that are currently available, in order to get a head start on the next set.
