New Game Plus, Explained
When it comes to Metaphor: ReFantazio’sNew Game Plus, there’s good news and there’s bad news. (Well, at least, if you were hoping for the same things we were.) Althoughample things carry over between playthroughs, there’sonly one newly-unlocked thing.
Granted, that sole fresh encounter isone of the hardest fights in the game, and you will want to beat a very high level againbefore taking it on. But the more interesting stuff, by far, is what you’ll bring with you.
What Carries Over
The following aspects of yourclear filewill be brought forward to new playthroughs byselecting the star-marked game clear file:
*You’ll still need tounlock Archetypesagain, but once you’ve done so,your previous progress therein will be reflected.
What Is New
So long asyou aren’t playing on Storyteller difficulty, you will be able to challenge the mightyRedscale Dragonbyinteracting with the Book of the Apocalypse at Akademia.
On your initial playthrough,attempting to do so would prompt More to tell you not to. Now, with the restriction lifted, you can battle thelevel 99 optional super-bossat your leisure - althoughwe strongly recommend waiting until your levels match.
