How To Get An S Rank In Sky Sanctuary

Sky Sanctuary is all clouds and whimsy. It needs some fancy footwork to not fall to your doom, and some quick thinking to manage the shifting terrain, but we’re here to help you get that S Rank no matter which Sonic you are.

Sky Sanctuary Act 1 S Rank

Sky Sanctuary Act 1 puts you in the shoes of Classic Sonic, who is much more built around momentum than constantly being at top speed. This level is also filled with plenty of hard-to-reach routes and skillful jumps, so we’ll guide you towards the fastest ones to get that S Rank.

In Sky Sanctuary, you want to bejumping just about all the time. Whether it’s over ledges, onto enemies, or through clouds, keeping your feet on the ground here is the path to the slowest route you can get. Rather punishingly,a single wrong jump can also get you locked out of a faster route, so plan each jump carefully.

For a little extra forgiveness, make sure toequip the Aqua Shieldto give yourself a higher jump.

The section with the Spinning Tops can beskipped entirely if you manage to nail all of the cloud jumps before it, though you can’t get back up without the use of a skill if you miss. Mind you, you can still get an S Rank even if you don’t play this part perfectly.

In any section with a half or quarter pipe, use your Spin Dash. This jolt of speed will likely let you ignore the running and jumping you would need to reach the same area.

There are three separate routes to finishing this level. While you can achieve an S Rank on any of them,it is easier the harder the route is to reach. We achieved an S Rank going along the middle route.

Finishing with a timeunder 3:00 minutes and a score of 50,000will get you the A Rank, and a Perfect Clear will bump that up to an S Rank.

Sky Sanctuary Act 2 S Rank

As with Act 1, you’ll want totake advantage of Sky Sanctuary’s unique gimmick at all times- the clouds. They don’t have the same bouyancy for Modern Sonic, though they will let you jump to higher places than you could reach otherwise.

After moving through the first Rainbow Rings, proceed to the right to get a shortcut that leads to a zipline. Once here, follow the clouds upwards to a Speed Ramp. This will lead to yet another shortcut directly into the interior area. Use a Homing Attack on the Flying enemy by the fountain to reach the higher route.

In the dark interior area, take the right path to some Rainbow Ringsup to a grind rail, bringing you to the Warp Stone faster.

On the zipline right after the Warp Stone, jump off it about halfway through anduse your Homing Attack to move to another Ziplinethat will save you even more time.

At the next quarter pipe, speed up it using boost and activate the button on the ground. This will open a wall, though also spawn an enemy. Follow after them and defeat them quickly before they lock the wall again. Speed on through this shortcut.

In the next interior area, go slow on the second floor as it will collapse, leaving only a few sections walkable.Navigate these to safely use your Homing Attack on the flying enemiesto cross the gap.

Finish Act 2 in under 2:40 secondsto get a high enough score to get an A Rank. You canboost that score closer to 50,000 with a high number of Rings. Get a Perfect Clear to change that to an S Rank.
