When you first enter Mean Street inDisney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the Gremlin there will ask you to get two gears from different NPCs. When you try to get the gear from Big Bad Pete, he’ll tell you that Gilda took his gear after losing in a race, and you’ll have to win the same race to get it back.

However, when you first talk to Gilda about this, she’ll tell you about the axe she lost in Mickeyjunk Mountain. you’re able to only find this axe after passing quite a few areas, and you also get a choice of what you want to do with it.

Where To Get Gilda’s Axe

If you want to find Gilda’s Axe for her, you’ll first have toprogress to the area called Mount Osmore Slopes. You’ll find this area after reaching Mickeyjunk Mountain through Ostown and then ascending it a bit through areas like Mickeyjunk Mountain Heaps. In this area, the game will automatically show you where the Axe is when you enter.

If you want to get to it, you can go down the slope towards all the enemies and then look in the left corner.You’ll see a hand floating midair with an anvil on top of it. Thin out this hand to make the nearby platforms move, which will allow you to use them to get to the higher platform in the area ahead.

It’s recommended todefeat or befriend all the moving enemiesbefore you do this sincethis will make the job easier.

Once you’re on the above platform, you can perform a spin attack on a yellow gear tolower the thinner waterfall and reveal some objects in it. This will let you jump on the objects and proceed further. In the next part, you have to paint the Mickey heads to stop the steam coming from them, though this is time-limited.

Every few seconds, the tap above will drop thinner on them and start the steam again. When you paint both heads, you canalso paint the giant clock to the left to slow down time and allow for easy passage. After jumping a couple more times here, you’ll reach the axe where you can paint the anvil floating in the air and get it.

What To Do With Gilda’s Axe

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrusheddoesn’t shy away from giving you choices, and it’s the same in the case of Gilda’s Axe. Here’swhat you may do once you’ve acquired the axeand the outcomes for both choices:

Save The Axe

You can simply keep the axe in your backpack until you reach Ostown again at the end of Mickeyjunk Mountain’s journey,where you’ll find Gilda standing in front. Upon giving her the axe, she’ll simply give you a power spark.

Use The Axe

Alternatively, you can use the axe in the Mt. Osmore Caverns area. When you ascend through the stairs and reach an area with a bunch of cards, you’ll see a giant carpet on the floor.Thinning out this carpet will reveal a path leading you to a door.

If you use Gilda’s Axe to open this door, you won’t be able to give it to her and the quest will fail. However,you will get a gold, silver, and the Mickeyjunk Mountain pinsinstead.

If you’ve used the axe to open the secret door, you’ll first have tothin out the bunny ears to stop the steams so you can progress. In the next part, start coloring the buildings clockwiseafter coloring the one at the start of the area. This will let you reach the top castle and then use the giant statue’s hand to get on the chest above.

Once you have that chest, you can jump down on theother side and take a slide to the second chest. Finally, to get the last chest, you have to wait for a platform to go through the thinner river and jump on it. While the platform moves, you’ll have to thin out the cage leading into the area and then jump over a few bars.
