Recruiting new classes to the imperial retinue is a great way to expand your options and versatility inRomancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven- learning new spells, glimmering new techs, and simply having more options in battle is key to gaining the advantage over your foes.

Recruiting the Diviner is a pretty arduous process, but it’s worth the hassle. While you’ll have to give up a totally different class (with some disastrous implications), you’ll have the game’s best users of Umbrology on your side, which is nothing to be sniffed at. Can you bring yourself to make that difficult decision?

How To Start Tsukijima’s Grimoire Of Eld

The quest that allows you to recruit the Diviner class is started simply by speaking to the Diviner in Tsukijima. He will ask you to find the eponymous Grimoire of Eld, a tome of dark magic.

Where To Find The Grimoire Of Eld

Unfortunately, the Grimoire of Eld can only be obtained if, whendealing with the events surrounding Comroon Island, you allow the volcano to explode, destroying a big chunk of the island and seemingly destroying Zemio and its Salamander inhabitants.

Allowing the volcano to erupt will unlock a new area for exploration, theEmerged Island. This is a high-level dungeon that will reward you with the Grimoire of Eld upon completion. If you prevent the volcano from erupting, you will not be able to get Umbrology.
