As you grow your business inAle & Tale: Tavern, you’ll meet new friends along the way. These NPCs can give you quests to complete and well as tell you more about your new home and the world around you. There’s magic in the air, and that’s not all!

After ranking up your tavern, you’ll occasionally be prompted to speak with the merchant outside your tavern. There’s more to him than meets the eye, but he’s an ally all the same. He’ll point you in the direction of the herbalist, though she needs your help sooner than later it would seem.

Where To Find The Herbalist

After helping the Spirit of the Forest andprogressing further with your tavern, you’ll be prompted to speak with the merchant again. This time, he needs your help torescue a friendof his. She’s trapped in her house and can’t leave.

From the front of the tavern,head down the main roadtowards the fields, thentake the first road that diverts to the right. This will lead you to acottage surrounded by massive pumpkins.

There are currentlytwo stalker bears outside, and you’ll need to defeat them to save the woman trapped inside the cottage.

Use your axe and crossbow todefeat the bears, then harvest their livers andspeak to the herbalistthrough the slit in the door. While sherefuses to come outof her home, she does ask you for some helpcompleting work ordersshe’s fallen behind on.

How To Complete The Herbalist’s Orders

The herbalist needshelp with three sets of orders. With each set, you’ll need togather ingredients and bring them to her. She’ll then brew a potion and send you to the merchant.Sell the potion, then bring the herbalist a meal of her choice.

Below are the orders you’ll need to complete to progress with the quest:

Anti-hangover potion (300 Gold)

Barley Porridge and an Ale Mug

Boiled Corn and a Beer Mug

Toad legs (2)

Purchase from the merchant or defeat hornets in the fields.

Anti-stone potion (300 Gold)

Boiled eggs and a Grape Juice mug

The herbalist willgive you a Teleportation Potionwith each order so you can quickly get back to the tavern. Use them or save them!

After completing all the herbalist’s orders, you’ll berewarded with your very own Alchemical Lab! you may place it in your tavern and beginworking on your own potionsand brews that can help you explore the world outside the establishment.

How To Use Alchemy

After placing the Alchemical lab in your tavern, you canstart brewing potions. It’s as simple as putting the ingredients in the cauldron and cooking them together.

You’ll need toexperiment with the ingredientsto discover what potions they make, but once youlearn a recipe, the results will be shown in the menu whenever youcombine those ingredients.

Repairs the durability of your tools and items.

Brings you or a friend back to life.

Turtle Shell

Teleports you to a random location.

If you mix two ingredients that don’t create a potion, you’ll get slop!
