There are plenty of different ways you can go about complimenting and praisingAstro Bot, but it’s unlikely that the game is going to be winning any awards for its character work. While Astro or Nebulax aren’t getting too much meaningful development themselves, there areplenty of cameosfrom some of the strongest characters in gaming instead.
These characters all have strong personalities that you know about if you’ve played the game they originate in, and you can see snapshots of this in how they are presented in Astro Bot. So, which cameo in Astro Bot are you, based on your starsign?
12Aries - Joker
March 21 - April 19
Arguably the most beloved protagonist from anyPersonatitle, Joker, or as he’s known in Astro Bot, Phantom Thief, is the character you control throughoutPersona 5. While he doesn’t speak nearly as much as just about every other character in Persona 5, he still has plenty of personality thanks to the often hilarious dialogue options available.
The leader of the Phantom Thieves, Joker is always eager to help those around him, and while he is capable of emotional depth, he always manages to put a positive spin on different situations (depending on dialogue choices) making him a perfect candidate for an Aries.
11Taurus - Kratos
April 20 - May 20
One of the characters most synonymous with PlayStation, Kratosgets a whole leveldedicated to his series, God of War, and his bot is called Dad of Boy, openly referencing his relationship with his son from the rebootedGod of Warseries.
Almost a textbook Taurus, Kratos is an incredibly stoic character, but this shouldn’t be mistaken for a lack of emotion, thanks to this character having an endless font of willpower if the cause is one they’re dedicated to.
10Gemini - Leon Kennedy
May 21 - June 20
Perhaps the face of theResident Evilseries, Leon Kennedy is represented in Astro Bot as hisResident Evil 2incarnation, where he experiences just about the worst first day on the job possible, and because of this is lovingly referred to as Rookie Cop.
Compared to his later appearances, in his debut Leon is a little immature with his quips and comments, likely a coping mechanism for his circumstances, and thanks to his highly adaptable nature, he’s a perfect representation of a Gemini.
9Cancer - The Prince
June 21 - July 22
While some of the cameo bots are a bit tricky to place thanks to some more generic character designs, one which is perhaps the most obvious is The Prince fromKatamari Damacy. Titled Royal Roller, you can even get an achievement if Astro happens to come into contact with his accessory.
Katamari is hardly a character-driven series, but thanks to the situations he is put in, and the glimpses we get of his personality, The Prince is a character that is often found overwhelmed. While he’s in touch with all of his emotions, he manages to put on a brave face, making him a perfect candidate for Cancer.
8Leo - Sackboy
July 23 - August 22
Unfortunately, having found himself now shoved slightly out of the limelight, the previous main candidate for PlayStation’s mascot, Sackboy, is at least thrown a bone bygetting a cameo in Astro Bot. Titled Knitted Kid, the protagonist finds himself sitting on an adorable representation of planet Earth, a hint to theLittleBigPlanetname.
Never one to shy away from attention, it almost feels cliche to label Sackboy as a Leo, but when the shoe fits… Sackboy is shown to literally spend as much time as possible in the spotlight thanks to the stage-like theme of most LittleBigPlanet games, so calling him a Leo only feels right.
7Virgo - Ulala
August 23 - September 22
Perhaps one of the more obscure references in Astro Bot, especially if you aren’t familiar with the Y2K era of gaming, Ulala is the protagonist of theSpace Channel 5rhythm game series, and she shows up almost right at the end of Astro Bot cameo-ing as Groovy Reporter.
While she is put in some pretty strange situations, Ulala is always calm and collected, but still willing to have a great time too, making her seem pretty similar to a classic Virgo.
6Libra - Kat
September 23 - October 22
While the PlayStation Vita unfortunately, could only get so much representation in Astro Bot thanks to its limited library (truly the PlayStation 5 blueprint), it still started the criminally underrated Gravity Rush series, and Kat, the protagonist, is found as a cameo bot (as well as an outfit) called Gravity Shifter.
While Kat herself doesn’t get too many lines thanks to her amnesiac status, she is shown to be incredibly justice-oriented, and often finds herself as a mediator in the middle of various conflicts, making her a clear Libra.
5Scorpio - Kazuma Kiryu
October 23 - November 21
While there were plenty of options for candidates to represent the Like A Dragon series, the one who started it all, Kazuma Kiryu really couldn’t be overlooked. Titled the Tattooed Dragon, the protagonist of the earlierYakuzagames stands confidently in front of a neon gate after you get his matching accessory.
While Kiryu tends to be the quieter character compared to those he spends his time with, he is incredibly perceptive, and well known around the city for his intensity and passion, making him a classic Scorpio.
4Sagittarius - Sam Porter Bridges
November 22 - December 21
One of the most unique games from the last console generation,Death Strandingstood out for not really fitting into any set categories, and that same description also works for the game’s unique protagonist Sam Porter Bridges, represented in Astro Bot as Patriotic Porter.
Sam drifts around the extended map of Death Stranding, finding himself in strange situations and going in and out of different peoples' lives. In spite of this, he is still enthusiastic while still having a more quiet and cerebral demeanour, making him a spot-on Sagittarius.
3Capricorn - Aloy
December 22 - January 19
One of the most recognizable cameos in Astro Bot, especially for fans of the PlayStation’s more recent titles, Aloy has quickly become one of the most iconic faces for Sony’s home consoles thanks to theHorizongames, and she is represented in Astro Bot as the Machine Hunter.
While Aloy has lighter moments, she is also incredibly goal-oriented, and this can sometimes make her come across as more serious than she would like to be, making her an obvious pick for a Capricorn.
