Which Guard Is The Impostor?
After sealing the Hyrule Castle rift, you cantalk with Beecher at the front gateto the town. He asks for yourhelp investigating a possible imposteramong the guards.
Take a few moments toquestion the guards around the town–specifically the one to theright of the fountainat the center. While every guard has something to say, this one will tell you about howhe recently had his gear replaced.
None of the guards in the castle are under suspicion, and you cannot question them about the situation.
Head to the barrackson the western side of town andspeak with the guard on dutythere. He mentions that a suit of armor and a broken lance were meant to be disposed of, but they’ve gone missing.
Beecher then rushes in to ask if you’ve solved the case yet. He has his suspicions, but he wants toconfirm it all with youfirst. Take as long as you need toevaluate the guards outsidebefore making your decision.
You’ll want tolook for one with damaged armor and a broken spear.
Once you’ve made your rounds,return to Beecherin the barracks to discuss what you’ve found. Tell him thatthe culprit is by the well with the broken spearand he’ll bring them in for questioning.
Captain Wright even makes an appearance andrewards you with a Golden Eggfor your efforts. The town is safe and has a new recruit ready to train, so you may carry on with your quest in peace!
